My DH wants to go and I was wondering if my 10 year old and 5 year old would enjoy it, or should I just take 1 or both to the pool that day?? What is there to do and play??

Tx!

Hey!

I'm 15 and i've be dying to go there. It seems like it would be alot of fun. It's an interactive playground basically. You can build your own roller coaster and ride it. You can do something with dinosaurs. Your kids are the perfect age!

I'm torn on this place. It's included with our passes. I don't think I'd pay to go, but it's fun for the ages you mentioned. :goodvibes

Also, you may want to go if it's going to be awhile before you go back to WDW, I hear they are going to do away with it within a couple of years.

10 year old...definitely and there is plenty of things for the little ones too. Like the other poster I don't think I would pay for it but it was included with our passes and we did have fun. The Pirates of the Caribbean thing (sorry not sure what it was called) was very cool and everyone can participate.

We went in 2004, my kids were 10 & 8 then...oh yea and DH... a kid a 35. They LOVED it! We got there when it opened and were there 5 hours! They wanted to stay longer but we were doing HDDR that night.

What did I do? Used the free internet, played some "old school" arcade games, walked around DTD.

I know my kids & DH would love to go when we go in Nov, but it is not on the itinerary. They had to choose between TL or DQ. They chose TL. Now if it downpours on our LT day, then we MIGHT go to DQ.

My boys are dying to go...
My daughter and I laugh though because we thought the best thing about Disneyquest was the ride in the elevator, lol. :rotfl2: That itself is a nice little experience :teeth:
We did have a lot of fun there, but don't go on a full stomach, we had just gotten done eating at WCC and did a few various games/rides, but then we did the magic carpet ride and I felt sick! Just like a motion sickness thing...

Pirates is fun, Jungle Cruise is fun, they have an animation thing kind of like MGM (just noisier), the roller coaster thing and we didn't even get to see the whole place. I'm sure next time around we'll have more fun!

I think they will. There is so much for everyone to do. They have a disney art class where they show you how to draw certain characters, they have a place where you can build your own coaster and ride it. There are a ton of things to do for all ages... I think you should do it! :cool1:

My DAughters loved this art class. The Disney Artist even asked my one daughter to take a break and give someone else a chance because she kept going back. LOL

Disney Quest is one of our favorite things to do while on vacation and I don't like Video games but this is so much more! Enjoy!

My 3 sons (11,9,7) LOVE it! We went twice during our last visit in early May. The virtual reality activities are fun especially the Pirates and Alien Encounter. Imagine being inside a video game! Aladin did make me a bit dizzy but then I was flying my carpet all over the place and keptturning my head to look at the other 'monkeys'. We all enjoyed classic arcade games. I did the animation program and purchased my diploma and sketch of Mickey. The kids all did Sid's creat a Toy and had to buy them and then of course there are the three episodes of make your own rollercoaster. SO be prepared thatyou can spend some cash once inside DQ but you do not have to. You can enjoy all the things I mentioned and not buy the final product.

The food isn't bad either. Matter of fact I had a pretty good panini with an onion jam there.

There are some height restrictions at DQ for Buzz Lightyear Astroblasters (bumper cars and dodge ball combined but FUN) and the make your own rollercoaster. OUr youngest was very dissapointed in 2003 when he was too short for those.

Here is a tip - take your aspirin before you go in!

Thanks everyone I have had some questions about this place as well, glad to hear it is fun and "worth" the trip :thumbsup2
