So my hubby is dead set on going to Disney Quest.. what I want to know are these things:

Is it any good?
Are there a lot of OOP expenses?
What shouldn't we miss?
and
About how much time would be spend there on average?

Thanks so much!!!!!!

Weve done DQ once, it was included in our ticket bundle years ago and for us, early 50's and daughter and SIL middle 20's, once was enough. Alot to do but somewhat crowded. Some of the reality things were fun but to make a whole day of it, and for the price you pay you should, it just wasn't worth the money nor time. Rainy day project, maybe. We get our gaming thrills from the gameroom at CR, its the largest on property, its free to get in and tons of stuff to lose quarters on.

For video-game fanatics, it is heaven. Almost everything is included in the price -- it is VERY easy to spend 4 or 5 hours there (or longer) doing everything that's included in the price. The Cheesecake Factory Express place inside for lunch is surprisingly good. The virtual roller coaster -- Cyber Space Mountain, is the not-to-miss attraction b/c I *think* it's the only place that has such a thing.

All this being said, it's my DH and DS, 8, who love DQ so dearly. We went all together last year and this year I'm sending the two of them in (and they wouldn't agree to a trip to WDW without a stop at DQ) and I'm doing some shopping in DTD (which they tend not to *enjoy* as much as i do!). It's a noisy, intense place -- I kinda like video games but was burned out and had a headache after 4 hours....

It is a giant arcade and there are no real ooops expenses. If you really enjoy arcades you could spend 4 hours there easily (I have three boys). Some don't misses are the Pirates of the Carab.(Virtual), the make your own roller coaster and ride it(Virtual) and if you ever wanted to learn how to draw different Disney characters they offer a class every hour or so that last about 20 minutes( you draw on a computer screen - fun). They also have a couple restaurants and a coffee/dessert shop.

I'd say DQ is ok. But my dh and ds(12) would say it's awesome. They can and have spent all day at DQ. I'm done with it after about 2 hours.

OOP expenses---It's a pay one admission price and play all the games you want for that price.

Here's what costs additional---
--any food at the Cheesecake factory express
--if you buy a Sid's creation (you can make these without buying them, just don't push the buy button)
--if you buy a cd of the song you mixed (you can mix a song without buying it, just don't push the buy button)
--if you chose to print a picture, you can buy that (but you can create a picture with out hitting the print and buy option)
--the claw machines are not free
(I can't think of anything else off the top of my head)

Not to miss:
1st floor---the pirates game and jungle cruise game
2nd floor---aladin's carpet and virtual space mountain (if you creat loops on your coaster, you will actually go upside down)
3rd floor--mighty ducks pin ball slam, buzz lightyear astro blasters
4th floor--cheesecake factory desserts ($) yum!, ride the comix
5th floor--kick some alien butt (don't remember the proper name for this one), a quest burger at the cheesecake factory express.

Hope this helps
