could someone tell me about d. quest. with my hopper pass i can use it to get in however do i have to pay for the games as well? also is it worth the $$ to use. we will be in dw next week and if the weather is warm we will use the pass to go to blizzard beach instead.

thanks
cheryl

You do not have to pay for games, that is what your ticket price covers. Is it worth it? For me, no. For my DH and two teens, it was more than worth it. They loved it almost as much as the main parks. If you really love video and vr games you will have a good time.

You can't use a hopper pass to get into dq. You need the water parks and more add on.
If you have kids they will love dq. There are things for adults, but it is mostly kids. My DS and DD love it.

We love DQ!!!

At first, I only went because the boys wanted to, but I have to admit that I really enjoyed myself.

We always use it as a "break day" somewhere in the middle of our trip. Since they don't open til 11am or so, we sleep in and then head on over. DH and I will do the Pirates ride with the boys and I'll do Cyber Space Mtn. He and I will play some of the arcade games from the '80's and then we let the boys have a few hours to do what they want.

We love to get something from the Cheesecake Factory and find a nice place to sit and just relax for a little while.

Like I said, it's a nice break from the parks and crowds for a while.

this sounds great. my hopper that i got(3 yrs ago and we still have plenty of
days on it :cool1: ) lets you have 4 days of either water park, quest or wide world of sports. we have 2 days left on this card and if the weather isn't that great for a water park we might consider this.

if we are in d quest and we want to get a bite to eat can we use our passes to get back in on the same day?

thanks again

Your PHP from 3 years ago does not include DQ. DQ bacame a plus option in January 2005 with the introduction of the MYW tickets. PHP's from prior to 2005 did not and still don't include admission to DQ.

I wasn't at all impressed with DQ.

It felt worn and aged, and several of the fun games (i.e skeeball or any other game that gives tickets) cost extra. I don't understand why ANY game in there should cost extra, especially after you consider the price of admission to the place (whether you use a plus or not). Personally, I think you're neighborhood Dave & Busters has more to offer teens when it comes to cool video games.

My sons were 12 and 9 when we went there last year, and both are big video game players, and neither liked the place.

you can't take strollers right? are there preschool age games?

I'm not sure on the Stroller thing but, I know I wouldn't .....there is only 1 elevator and the stairs are MUCH more convenient. As for the Preschool games....I saw a few but...IMHO not worth thaking one that young....there were about 8 or so games and 3 didn't work when we were there!

The 2 teenage boys with us LOVED it....they spent a day and a half there! One of them went *3* times! DH and I went once....I just wanted to use one of my plus visits...I had a GREAT time. I played 80's games for like an hour, did one of the Virtual reality games (got motion sickness and didn't play another!) Played newer games, skee ball, and many other things. I'm not a "gamer" by any means but, I really enjoyed DQ!

I don't know if you can take a stroller in, but it really doesn't seem like a place for preschool age children. It is more of a tween/teen kind of place. I would say 8 year olds and above will love it!

regardless, we are at least going to check it out, we've never been and it's included in our PAP's.....I know DH will love to play Pac Man and those type games!

When I went this past December, with one exception none of the games cost extra or gave out tickets. The only exception was the game were you drop a claw to try to win a stuffed animal. All other games and attractions were included in the admission.

Yes you can. In fact, through an odd set of circumstances I was able to verify that you can use your pass to enter DQ at least 3 times in a 15 minute span (but the cast member at the entrance will look at you funny).

Now, I think preschoolers may like the 'art' area. If I remember right, you make pictures with computer programs. Also you can 'record' a CD by picking lines from several selections and they are put together to make a song...there is also a place to record your own voice for a small part of it. Preschoolers might like that.

As long as adults go with them, I think they would like the Pirate and Raft rides, but the adults will have to 'control' it.

We were only there once, and my kids were 11, so I wasn't thinking about it from a preschoolers perspective, but I am sure there are some things they will enjoy. Just watch that they don't get run over by the 10 years olds. There were a lot of kids running around on their own and they were very excited and not really paying much attention to others around them.
