DH is very claustrophobic. Looks like there are some things we could participate in at DQ, but not the simulators, etc. However, I'm concerned about the elevator when you enter DQ. Is this the only way to enter? Or are there stairs you can use instead? DH will absolutely not get into an elevator. Also, if someone could name the definite rides not to bother with (simulators), that would be so helpful to us as we plan for our visit next week!
Thank you!

Every building has to have stairs in case of fire. If you can't find them I am sure I CM will be happy to show you where they are (I can't think of where they are from the front door, but I've taken the stairs many times). :)

We use the stairs there all the time because it is faster. Just tell them when you enter and they will direct you to the stairs......they are pretty centrally located in the building and easy to navigate.

In DisneyQuest, he will definitely not be able to do the Virtual Space Mountain simulator. It's very closed in. Depending on HOW claustrophobic he is, he may not be able to do the Buzz Lightyear ride (enclosed with plexiglass), Ride the Comix and the Magic Carpets of Aladdin (because masks cover your head - they make me dizzy). The Pirates and Alien ride are in enclosed dark rooms that are big enough for 6? people but again that may be too tight for him (especially if all the people are in the room!)

I have my claustrophobic moments, and let me tell you that the Aladdin thing totally bugged me. It's one of those that you sit and put the thing on your head, but it's a big heavy thing. (Mine also smelled pretty bad, which didn't help the situation). I had to take it off at the end because I was getting really dizzy and bothered by it. None of the other things I did bothered me, but I didn't do any of the other games that require you to put the helmets on.

I think the Pirates one would be okay, because the door to get out is clear, so he would be able to see the hallway if he got uncomfortable in here. We only had 3 people in the room when we did it, and it wasn't crowded at all. He may just want to mention the problem at this one so they don't crowd the room up.

You can choose to go up the stairs, or another elevator. Just tell the CM's at the entrance that you don't want to go into the "Cybalators"
