I have a coupon for free admission to Disney Quest. Are all expenses covered once admitted? If not, what are the out of pocket expenses? Is it really loud?

DH and I went during our last trip. It was so much fun! We also had the free coupons. Most of everything is free once inside (minus snacks obviously). Some games with prizes, eg crane machines, cost money but most everything else is included. Some floors were louder than others. I'm a pinball nut and spent most of my time on the level with those games and that one wasn't too bad. Plus we did it a rainy day and its all indoors. I'd recommend it :-)

We love DQ. My son even got an AP for just it last year so he could go as many times as he wanted. It is really fun but is hectic and can get a little overwhelming. Thankfully its in DT Disney so you can walk outside for some air and a meal at Earl of Sandwich or Ghirardelli if you need a break.

I will voice a contrary opinion. We went a couple of years ago and really, really didn't like it. The games and attractions were rather outdated and we aren't really into video games anyway. It was loud and we had a hard time finding our way around. We went there because it was raining and we wanted something to do, but left within about two hours.

Keep in mind, though, that I have two daughters and we aren't a family that really does video games or arcade games. If you like things like that, you'll enjoy it.

Curious to hear the replies too. DD10 is really interested in going here on next year's trip.

How/where did you get free tickets?

Thanks,
Jen

We are taking advantage of the free dining promo in September. It was included in the vacation package arranged by my TA. We also get free round of mini golf, discount ticket for T Rex (I think), and other discount tickets for water cruise stuff. It was a whole list, but I think we are only doing the mini golf.

I haevn't been in years- I think my boys were like 5 & 9 at the time, so 2006. We really enjoyed it, but we like games. The classic games were fun, DH really enjoyed the pinball section, and DH and older DS loved the Buzz Astroblaster game. (younger DS was too little, so we sat that out) The four of us enjoyed the interactive games the most- PotC, Jungle Cruise, and Aladdin's Carpets- do they still have those? We haven't fit a visit back in but are adding the waterparks and more onto tickets this time so we can go again.

My family goes to DQ every time in Disney 2-3 times per trip. We love DQ. My son is a big video game player. However, my wife and I also love the interactive games like Pirates of the Carribean. It is awesome. We went to the Chicago DQ when it was open many times.

I thought everyone got that-we booked directly through disney and got that. The restaurant is Planet Hollywood for us

Yeah that's it, Planet Hollywood. I don't know, maybe everyone does get it through the free dining promo. I have only booked it through a TA.

I just looked at my booklet & noticed I only have 2 vouchers for DQ but there are 4 of us traveling (2 adults & 2 kids). Did you happen to get one for everyone in your party?

i only got two but it's just two of us traveling. I think you are to get one for each person traveling.

All packages booked after some point this year have the two dq admissions with their vouchers.

Personally I hated it, it was way way too loud but could have been fixed (or at least dulled) with some ear plugs.

We love Disney quest but have only been in the morning when it is very quiet. I don't go during my Disney vacation because I don't have time but once a year we go to Orlando and we do it that trip.

You get 2 per booking.

We have 4 traveling but got 2 as well, plus 2 rounds of mini golf. We booked room with military discount and added the dining plan. (no discount on that)

We are getting the waterparks and more tickets through military discount, so we already plan to do Blizzard Beach once, minigolf once, and DQ twice.

Does anyone know if the 2 DQ admissions and 2 rounds of mini golf come as a ticket or are attached to your reservation or what? I thought it would be nice to give to another guest since we weren't planning on this extra anyway. Anyone know if this is possible?

If not we could always let the boys play an extra round of golf when we go, and let them go in DQ while we shop one day.

Love DQ. Kids are a little young for it still, but we'll end up going one night while the kids are with grandma :)

I haven't been in a number of years, but unless it has changed, it's like a playable museum of arcade games. Some that I hadn't seen since the 80s still going strong.

Brought back serious childhood memories... There are also the interactive attractions, etc -- but it was the nostalgia that got me.

Hmm Disney Quest. So I will say I bought WP&MORE so we made time to go after our day at TL. For ME personally it was a nightmare ~ will we be going again to DQ in 2014 yup... Most likely.
My boys ds13, ds13 and ds9. THEY LOVED IT!!!! We spent about 4 hours there & they had a blast! Me, umm not so much. I am NOT a gamer so I leaned against walls in the loud dark building following my boys from room to room. With the exception of one game of air hockey I was basically a party pooper.
They do have a cafe which was a decent break from the madness. Again, this is just my opinion & although I disliked it (40yr old female) my kids had a blast!

We went for the first time this summer and really enjoyed it. The only out-of-pocket expenses we had were a snack and purchasing my daughter's artwork after the animation class (which was wonderful!). If you have the time, and you have free passes, I'd give it a go. We will definitely be back sometime. We have the WPF&M tickets, so it's included.

Two things I will point out, though:

1. The interactive rides/virtual reality rides can cause motion sickness. My DH didn't put on his motion sickness patch that day and couldn't participate in any of those experiences. He had a great time with the retro arcade games, though.

2. The virtual reality helmets you put on can be uncomfortable. It really hurt the bridge of my nose and took over a week to heal.
