Disney Quest component of a package: Why no kids tickets?

I need some help for family members that check in at Disney next week.
They are a part of 3 ( 2 adults, 1 child age 8) who booked a Disney package.

They were just examining their Mickey Mail and noticed that they did not have a DQ ticket for their 8 yr old child. Just two adult tickets.
They called Disney and a CM told them that the child does not get a DQ voucher, just the two adults and in order for their child to enter into DQ with them she would have to purchase a $41.00 ticket.

Does this sound right?

Unfortunately, you only get 2 adult tickets with a package, regardless of how many people are in the room.

Every room gets two. It's to get you in the door. Like a buy one get one free.

Yes, it sounds very generous. Two adults get in free and then I pay for my child. I am thankful for that opportunity.

I finally found the Disney fine print and see that it is indeed TWO tickets per package.
I will let the fam know ;-)

I don't see why not. An adult ticket is worth more than a child ticket.

If they have the water park and more tickets those can be used at Quest. Since we have dc that like Quest we always add on the WP and More bec for our family it's cheaper than purchasing individual tickets to Quest for several times each trip.
