DS7 has been saving his own spending money for our upcoming may trip. i told him he could spend it on whatever he wanted. but i do want to allocate a certain amount for each day. how much should i allocate for our disney quest day? i know he will want to play the ticket games. and will probably want to do the make you own toy thing. but i have never been to DQ so i have no idea how much we should take. any advice? thanks.

We were there in November and we had Ultimate hopper passes which included Disney Quest so we only spent money on lunch. There were to many free things for us to do. DQ is a blast if there are not alot of people there. Like I said we were there in November so it wasn't crowded. If you go when it is busy and don't have an UHP you may want to pass on DQ, I here it's no fun when it gets busy.:D

i am going in may and have already bought my tickets. ticketmania had a really good deal on them through the mousesavers newsletter. so i bought them. DS is really into video games and such. so i thought it would be fun.

thanks for the advice.

I've never experienced Disney Quest (sad, isn't it?) so I can't answer your question. Thought I would just bump this back to page one for you.

I too would like to know how much money you will need at DQ. Are the activities inside free or is there a cost? If so how much? My 3DSs are looking foward to DQ since we have never (I hate to say it) been there. This time we are doing everything we always wanted but didn't have the time for:teeth:
Any DQ comments would be greatly appreciated. When is DQ the busiest? How much time should we allow?
So on and so forth...

When I was at DQ in Aug 2001 everything inside was free - video games, simulators, etc. You just paid the entrance fee or admission was already included on your pass. You would have to pay for food too. We spent about 2-3 hrs in there and I thought we could have spent all day. Your 3 sons will probably want to spend a lot of time there - there is plenty to do. I don't know about busy times though. Hopefully someone else can help with that.

We went to DQ for the first time last year. Our DS was 13 at the time and wanted to go back every night. He went with friends the first 3 nights and we went with him the next night. Once we went, we wanted to go back the last 3 nights. We had UPH and so this was free, the only money we spent was on something to drink. We go back in May and already have planned to go to DQ most nights. He is bringing a friend that has never been and is trying to explain what DQ is all about. It is a blast at any age over 8 or so.

THe only extra $ you will need is for food and drink, and if you want to make bring home some of your creations. Your toy that you maek, or your drawing in the animations class, a CD, your silly picture etc etc :-) HTH Oh yeah, and ticket games.

We went to DQ last year.DS was 10 he had a blast. Even DH who is not into the video game thing had fun. Building your own roller coaster is fun but if you do any loops make sure your going fast. At 35 mph doing a loop will make you kind of queasy. We can't wait to get there this year.

We went about 18 months ago and we did pay extra for some things. The create a toy thing (very cool) is around $10. For the Video games we bought a card (you have a choice of what dollar ammount you want put on it then just plug it into games until it runs out) the prices of the games were about the same as Chuck E Cheese. You can also do computer animated cartoons of your face they were about $6 and some other things but that is the price range. There is also a gift store (suprise suprise). Hope this helps.

We were there last week for the 1st time with ds(11). There was a very small crowd - we went from 3:30 till around 7. So much to do, so much fun!!!!! There were ticket games but my son had so much fun on everything else he did not play anything that costs!! Our favorite attraction was Pirates - what a blast!!!!!

We took a bottle of water in and did not buy anything there.

While at DTD don't miss the show at Magic Masters!!!

Most of the video games are free, many have a button, usually green, that you push to get them started without coins or swipe cards.

You can easily have a whole day of fun at DQ without spending anything (except for snacks).

Those games that issue tickets that you redeem to get prizes will cost extra.

Thanks for all the great info. My 3DS's are getting more excited every day. When is the best time to go? We have tickets to Cirque is it good to go before or is that time crowded? :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
