Disney purges the ADR's?

I'll be going to Disney this summer with a group of 12. We've never been to Ohana but have heard great reviews. I have been trying to get us an ADR for a few months now.

At first, I was trying by phone. One of the CM's I spoke to told me it would be easier for me to split my group up, and use the online system to book the reservation. So that is what I did. I split us up into 2 groups of 6 and tried to get us an ADR online.

I managed to get 2 reservations for 6 people at Ohana for the same night.:yay: I booked one at 8:25 and then one at 8:35. My husband and I thought, that since the reservations were only 10 minutes apart, that maybe we could get the two combined, or our groups could at least sit near each other.

I called Disney and asked to have them combined. I was told that they could not do that, and because my reservations were in the same name, one or both would probably be cancelled. :eek:The CM did change the email address and phone number attached to one of them, but he still said there was no guarantee I would still have both. :headache: This is my first time booking an ADR at Disney so I had no clue. If I had known that, I would have put it under someone else's name. Has anyone had their reservation cancelled like this before? Any suggestions on what I can do?

Thanks!

Hello and welcome.

Yes it is possible that they could cancel both of them.

I would call back and confirm that the adrs are under different phone numbers, to ensure that at least something is different. And of course always ask to see if they will change the name of the party listed.

The only thing you can do besides that is check often that they are not cancelled...as WDW won't contact you if they do cancel them.
And print out your confirmations and take them with you to the restaurant. I realize this is a bit away, but I would still do it.

Good luck and have a great time!!

Can you not change the name on the reservation?
Also, most restaurants will have no problem seating you together or near each other. Just let them know when you check in, btu be prepared for a bit of a wait.
We did this a lot last summer as we were a very large group with many seperate reservations. I did not like all the waiting that we had to do though. In the future I would just get seated seperately to avoid the waiting.

Thanks for the tips! I asked the CM if I could just change names. He told me the only way he could change names on the reservation would be to cancel it, go in and try to rebook it. He said if he did that, there would be no guarantee that someone else hadn't snatched it up while he was trying to rebook it. He did change the email address and phone number attached to one of them. I have printed out the confirmations for both. I will be taking them with me that night. I'm hoping for the best. Thanks for your help!
