Disney providing free insect repellent

Just noticed the sign reads pretty small in my picture, here is another zoomed version in case anyone is interested:

The repellant is manufactured by Cutter, here's the link on Amazon:

This product has 4.5 stars on Amazon.

I believe Disney is being extra-careful about Zika, we've been in the World since two weeks and witnessed absolutely zero mosquitos during that time. Anyway, better be safe than sorry!

Anyone know if they offering it at the hotels as well? We arrive at POR tomorrow, and especially with there apparently having been an issue there, I'd love to get some when we arrive. If not, I'll pack it as I originally intended

We've gone through the lobby of GF this morning to catch the monorail and I don't remember seeing any repellant anywhere, though they may have been put on display later on during the day.

If having a repellant is something important to you, I would recommend you to pack some as you intended. They take little space!

Article says Disney parks and resorts so i guess you're good to go

We checked out of Beach Club today and did not notice any spray available. But it appears that the spray hit the parks today (saw a display at DHS) so maybe tonight.

In all my visits to WDW, I've never been bitten by a mosquito.

And for those of you concerned about the bug love - these are repellants. They don't kill the bugs, just make you less attractive to them.:)

Bug spray was available at Typhoon Lagoon yesterday. But we are staying at Coronado and nothing here. Didn't see a single person using the bug spray.

Couldn't they just integrate it into the metal detectors so they misted you as you walked through? ;)

We saw one family stop to spray themselves in DTD yesterday. Make sure you cover your drinks as you walk on by. There is repellant in the air. :crazy2:

I was wondering if you're supposed to spray yourself there or take a can with you...

not sure what you mean. They have sprays, you step to the side and spray yourself and then put the can back on the table

We used some in EP last night. IMHO, the mosquitos were out in full force this weekend. Didn't see any at our resort - BWV. For those who want to pack some, Sawyer makes a great picardin spray in a travel size which you can buy on Amazon.

That would be forcing (mandating) you to use it (unless they had an "opt-out" option).

I got home this morning and, for the first time in 30 years of going to Disney, we saw lots of bugs. It was noticeably different. The Contemporary was absolutely disgusting. My mom asked one CM "what is that" referring to the type of bugs that were swarming in the area and she answered "gross." We ate them, they were flying into our mouths uncontrollably. She said she holds her breath and runs to her car at the end of the night. There were a lot of flies throughout the parks, too. Normally I'm surprised at the lack of bugs in Disney, because if I go in my backyard at home, I have 20 bug bites in three minutes. This time was totally different.

Yes, at the resorts, it is available in your room to keep At the parks you can spray it on there but can't take the can.

I'm a mosquito magnet. Really I am.

I've rarely see a mosquito at WDW, though they do have them as I occasionally come home with a bite or two, however they do have these little biting midges called 'noseeums' and they leave a big old welt on me whenever I get one of those bites. I've never noticed OFF having an effect on them. Wonder if they brand of spray they are handing out helps with those.

OH and all the things flying around WDW right now are probably early Love Bugs. They are prevalent in May and September. They don't bite but they do swarm around and get on you. My mom was horrified on our one September trip. They loved her hair.
