What are the park benefits to staying at a Disney property, other then the magical Disney feel 24 hrs? Seems like last year we had some perks but we also booked though AAA and now I can't recall what were the perks of the property. AAA was the unlimited fast pass which according to my AAA agent is not available this year due to Disney's "Year of Dreams"

Just trying to decided weather to book Disney or Good Neighbor and if AAA is the best deal or keep looking at other possibilities.

Thanks
Diana

When you stay on the Disney Property you get Early Entry every day it is offered during your stay. My favorite perk is that anything (except food items which includes candy) can be delivered to your hotel the following morning. We love staying at Paradise Pier and getting a view room because you can get an awesome view of California Adventure and at night with the lights, wow!

We booked through Costco on our last trip and got a free character breakfasts for every person in our party and a $20 gift card. We also recevied the Mickey's Toon Town passes.

Definitely getting Early Entry each day its offered is the biggie. If you are going in a peak time, like summer that is huge. Off peak, not so huge since the parks are down a bit in attendance and that extra hour isn't critical. If you are Annual Passholders this is especially nice since you don't have a park hopper and therefore if you aren't onsite you have no EE privilidges whatsoever. Another nice perk is the charging privilidges. Kind of nice to have one charge to your card at the end of your stay. Last but not least you have high speed interenet access in each room at each of the three hotels that is part of your daily resort fee. Last but not least you do get the Disney customer service. I have stayed at all three of the DLR hotels and have always fared very well in that area. Even if you get a rude, unhelpful cm there is always someone higher up to make it right. But then I have had good luck with the offsite hotels near Disneyland with good customer service. I love the three onsite hotles, the DLH in particular, but its always a toss up if I want to pay for it each trip. When I do, I'm always glad and it never seems not worth it.

P.S. I also agree about the package delivery thing, although that can be dangerous since there's nothing to keep you from buying things! When I stay onsite I can't tell my kids, "sorry too big to lug around all day"!

Well said, I don't really have anything to add to that! :) I really have not had good luck with offsite hotels (I know many people here have!). We've had some pretty bad luck. Dirty rooms, no TV for DAYS, no water, dirty pools, rude employees, feeling the area was in not so nice area. We fully prefer to stay onsite because we don't have any of those problems. Plus all the added perks mentioned above! :)

we just booked DLh from AAA and the new perk is a refillable mug you can fill 4 times a day while in the park, plus all the usuall stuff you probably got before . We chose on site for the early entry and the magic of staying at DLH. Also we used vacation planning to get treats the first night in the room and Fantasmic reservations, and gift baskets for our last trip.

Do you get a mug for every member in your party???

Another perk and I don't know how I forgot this one; the GIFT BASKETS! They are AWESOME! Also being able to have chocolate covered rice krispie squares as well as chocolate covered strawberries in your room before you arrive! On our last trip the CM who looked after booking our room also made sure autographed pictures were sent to our rooms for all of the kids, this was a hit! Another perk is you get to walk through and shop in Downtown Disney on your way back to the hotel. I think DTD is such a great place, and can you not get EE into Build a Bear when you stay at one of the three hotels?!
