So, i know all about the PFF, but I am wondering if princess ever come out to different areas of the park and how frequent this is? Is is possible to find them outside of the PFF or are we doomed to wait an hour in line to get a picture with them. lol

Disser Disneyland 1951 has the exact details.

On the side paths around the Castle Princesses can be found between 10:30am and 2pm. They usually have no wait to meet them as they wander on those side paths.

^ this :) We ran into Aurora while my boys were using the restroom on that side of the castle. I pulled my daughter out of the stroller so fast, my dad thought something was wrong! :rolleyes1 I think there were about three people in front of us. It was perfect and all she talked about for the first day :thumbsup2

yes, around 10am or so each day usually belle and aurora will appea on the sides of the castle, somewhat hidden from view. Peter Pan pops up by the wishing well on occasion too. But, if you want to see princesses without waiting in line I suggest watching the coronation. After the show the princess come down and take pix (no photopass) and sign autograpsh for the kids and the lines are usually reasonably short. If you wait another 15 mins or so it will be princess storytime which is very cute but provides no meet and greet opportunity.

How to find a Princess in the Park.

During the day they sneak out to several spots on the side of the Castle. Often they are not noticed for several minutes, and are all alone with NO LINE!!!!

Secrets:
Between opening and early afternoon various ones will be out for about 20 minutes. Usually they come out in shifts about once an hour.
The timeing is different every day, depending on many factors.

If you do not see one, check back in 1/2 hour.

They travel from the Tomorrowland entrance, behind Pixie hallow, then to the side paths.

When they first come out they can be all alone for several minutes.

Here is Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) yesterday, standing in the shade with nobody to talk to.
It took a few minutes before anyone noticed her.

Here is Arial yesterday in the same spot with only a few visitors:

Lately there have been: Cinderella and her God Mother, Aurora, Snow White with the Evil Queen, Tiana, and Arial.

You do not need to wait in line for an hour at the Princess Fantasy Faire to meet a Princess.

disneyland 1951---are those pics of Aurora and Ariel on the side paths of the castle you were talking about?

Yes, in those too pictures they are by the upper yellow dot on the right in his map above. Don't limit yourself to thinking they will only be right there, check the rest of the area on his reference map.

I'm not sure about this, though this could effect this "secret". On Monday Carnation Plaza Gardens close. That is the area to the left in the photo with the blue path running along it. That pathway may be closed or may not, I guess we will know next week.

Keep in mind that several princesses are actually in the entrance plaza - between the ticket turnstiles and the train station, in front of the floral Mickey, at 3:30 or so. They are only ever seen by people entering and leaving the park.

We frequently head home around that time, so we see them a lot.

We saw various princesses and other characters on the paths mentioned above at various times of the day. We checked the Wishing Well multiple times a day - just made it part of our pattern.

On my last trip, we were heading towards tomorrow land when my little llama caught sight of Ariel. She ran up to say hello and Ariel took her hand and the two of them took off. So much for all that 'stranger danger' role play.

Luckily, I was able to keep up with them (Ariel, Snow White and Aurora). They took the exact path Disney 1951 has. Each of them took up a spot and stopped for pictures and autographs. Little llama was talking Ariel's ear off the entire time. :lmao:

You can also find Jasmine in her little area near Jungle Cruise.

We love checking the paths throughout the day to what princess is out. And it's even better when they just get there and no one has yet to see them, like others said.

Once we got Aurora, Ariel, Cindy, Snow, Alice, Fairy Godmother all back to back along the paths, was so awesome!!

Good luck finding them :)

I have seen Jasmine and Aladdin appear in Adventureland in the morning (around 8-10 am) multiple times. Even spotted Ariel and Eric have a little audience there once!

Mostly, they like to hang around Fantasyland and the castle. Though not an official "princess" Alice and Wendy can be spotted in other areas of the park when they are roaming around.

sounds like there are many times and places where you can see someone...I hope we are lucky (seeing prinesses is THE reason we are going!)

thanks for all the tips posted here

Thanks for sharing these tips. I did not know they came out around the castle between certain times. I thought it was only at certain times that were posted and there was always a line to see them. We will be using these tips on our trip for sure!
