tried to get my piece of the action & LOST 48.00!!!!! 36.00 + 12.00 for tax & services...Got Amerisuites 7/23 :guilty:
I know Amerisuites isn't onsite, but it is a decent place with much larger rooms, mini kitchen area, free breakfast, 3 pools, a jaccuzzi, free workout center, free mini golf :thumbsup2 So there are some plus's to this hotel

Just be happy you didn't get the Nikki Bird. I know I am counting my blessings I got the Amerisuites. Yeah, I would rather Disney but I look at it as, I got the lesser of the 2 evils ;)

ITA! We are happy with getting the Amerisuites. We are driving anyway, so having to drive a little more to get to the park on Saturday isn't a big deal.

I put in for the resorts, instead of 2.5 stars(in disney area), put in bid for $101.00 per night, filled out CC info, but could not make myself push "look for my room!" lol lmao:
Anyone ever heard of getting a resort inside besides this All star miracle?.

Good thing you backed out. That would have been a too high of a bid, even for a Resort*. If you want to find out how to bid on Priceline, go to www.biddingfortravel.com and read the Hotels FAQ. No other Disney resorts except for the All Stars have come up (so far).

Just got 5/9-5/11, ASM $36 night. I did one night at first and then extended it by 1 night. I would have extended it more but was only offered 1 more.
We check into Pop after that anyways.
Thanks

Nothing has been offered to Priceline from Disney except Sports and Music, they are filling gap dates.

It truly is a hit or miss situation, good deal for those that get them, but truly it's pure luck and no way to know if you will get it.

Just got Amerisuites for $36.00 for Monday 6/12 for one night. I'm very happy with this as I was on the fence about driving straight through to Disney in one day with dd 7 and ds 4. It will be about a 16 hour drive. Now, I have a decent, but cheap room to end our day in, and then free breakfast before moving over to Saratogo Springs to start our 10 day stay in DW! :yay:  :yay:  :yay:

Many grads do not go & stay at Disney.. more would rather leave the country since our legal drinking age is 21 & out of the country it is like 18. At least that is what I would think. I know that May is usually a slower month & the begining of June isn't too bad. The first week or 2 of June is more us Fl Residents than others since it is just before the seasonal black out & many want to go.. Our schools here get out before Memorial Day...

A Mickeyfan, Grad night is something set up for the graduating high school students. They get to go to Disney after park closing and they stay all night till 7:00 am. I know all of our schools here are going withing the next week or so and everyone of the highschoolers I have spoken to are very excited about it. However they are not to crazy abouyt the dress code. LOL

Has anyone tried to add another name to their ressie directly with WDW? I've decided we aren't going now and while I'm prepared to eat the cost, it would be great if I could add another name and sell my two night on ebay or something.

Answering my own question...I called WDW and they couldn't even find my ressie with the hotel confirmation number on my ressie. I told her I used priceline and she said that's why. She said she doesn't have access to PL ressies and that I won't ever come up in their system. I'm not sure how they would be able to check me in if they don't have me in the system though :confused3 So I guess that means you can't add someone.

I don't think anyone's gotten bookings past June 7th -- July may just be too far out for the dates the rooms are available to Priceline.
All Star Music June 9-11th.. is mine (and is posted on this poll thread)

OP that said "grads" didn't say grad night. I know what Grad night is, our local schools do it. Some go to Disney & some to Universal (in fact my dd's is tomorrow at Universal), but they do not stay overnight. They take charter buses up & back.. they leave on a Saturday late morning & return somewhere between 4-6am Sunday. I am not sure where in FL you live or if your's stay overnight (most do not). The parks are not open for grad night students until 7am. They would never be able to have the rides & everything ready by 8 or 9am that day for the regular guests. I want to say they use close somewhere in the vacinity of 1-2am (I think the web site may say 4am for this year). Disney has been doing grad nights for years. Most of the local schools do it & return home (no over nighters). Even if there were schools that did it, many norhtern schools do not get out until June. May is typically a slower month for Disney.

11th is great! I see someone at Bidding For Travel got June 10th too. So there may be more at later dates out there than we know of. Congrats!

I would try this for June 3-6...but can you get Magical Express if you win a priceline bid? I'm not planning on a car.

I will try for July 1 since I'm driving and just need a bed.

I have been debating trying to bid and take a few days (especially with dings to Orlando every couple of days through May) so I created a calendar with plans of updating til I decide since it's easier for me to look at an actual calendar - especially when debating which days are most convenient.

When I finished I thought it might help other so instead of offering to email the file, I just threw it into Frontpage and tossed it online. . . so I hope this helps others!

Hope you don't mind CarolA - I used your list for this (and gave you complete credit on the page)

When did you bid? It will show up in the Disney computer, but NOT immediately and it can take several days. However, people have added ME to the bid and at least one other poster has posted that Disney could see her reservation.

I still don't know if you can add someone. The poster who posted indicated Disney could not access the reservation for special requests however.

No problem. I am a day or so behind on the list and with my work schedule next week I may just have to abandon this project LOL!

Bid for June 2nd. Amerisuites 36$ I already have ressies at the Dolphin so debating if I will actually use it or not... We are spoiled to staying onsite. I knew the risk, I have been using Priceline for several years. Good Luck to all of you! :)
