We have a 6 night trip planned for this October to WDW and a 7 night trip to WDW next September. Thinking about a Spring trip to DL for 5 nights. I was wondering if I would get the $100 DVC discount per pass like I would on the regular annual pass. Has anyone bought the Premier Passport and gotten the discount? Thanks!

No, it is not available on the premiere--unfortunately.

Thanks:confused3. That's a shame because that would have made it a no-brainer, especially since it included the water parks AND Disneyquest. Oh well, might still be worth it...

But could you purchase a WDW AP using the DVC discount and then upgrade to the Premier pass and get the benefit of the discount that way?

No. When you upgrade a DVC AP (or PAP) they only give credit for the actual amount paid, not the full non-discounted price.

The discounts in DL alone will probably make it worth it! With the premier pass you get 20% right now and a lot of the food places give discounts. I even got a 50% discount on my off-site hotel in DL!

I did this and trust me there was no discount. They looked up the price of the DVC AP and that was the credit I got towards the Premier!

This really should be a no brainer. A DVC premium AP at WDW is over 600.00 with tax. A 5 day DL park hopper ticket is more than 150. So by getting the Premier pass will save you money period, DVC discount or not.

As the others said, no, it doesn't work that way. The WDW Premium AP with DVC discount is currently $558. If you later upgrade to the Premier, they will only give you credit equal to the $558.

That said, going through the upgrade process is a nice way to defer some of the cost. You could simply buy WDW APs during your October trip and then upgrade if you do decide to visit DL in the spring. I can't see any real reason to pay the full cost up front. I guess price increases are one potential issue to consider. If the cost of the WDW AP goes up, they should give you a greater credit. But the amount the Premier may increase is also an unknown. Last price increase was June '11 so you'd have to make the call on that one.

I did the upgrade a few months back. It's worth noting that it did take about 15 minutes to get everything sorted out. Cast Members seemed a little confused about the entire thing but eventually I got into the hands of someone who knew exactly what she was doing.
