Has anybody else had problems with the latest planning DVD? I've had 2 now and they just won't play-both freeze at the same point, and you can't play any of the options. Its so frustrating! I've sent them both back with sarcy notes-I'll probably be blacklisted now:rolleyes:

I think a lot of people had trouble with this year's DVDs. I was one of the luckier ones and can get it to play in my DVD player as long as I play the whole thing and don't try to slect anything in particular from the menu.

Others have managed to coax them to play in their PCs.

Did you ever see the episode of the Young Ones where they have a video and they instructions say "press the Button" so Vyvyan hits it with a hammer and says "I am pressing the button"-thats me!:headache:

:rotfl:

The menus are rubbish - most take me to a blank screen.

Have you got a different device you can play it in? Some DVD readers are more tolerant than others.

Ours played OK - maybe we were one of the lucky ones. The same DVD also played on my Mums and my sisters DVD players.
Maybe you could try to play it through your PC to see if it is the dsic or the player that is at fault.
To be honest I don't know where the disc is sent from - but some older DVD players won't play DVDs from USA as they are only set to play ones from a specific region.

Its a problem for many DVD standalone players, it seems to be the way the DVd has been put together.

It will however, play on a Computer based DVD as it can understand the structure better.

Or use some software to extract the parts you want and burn to a new DVD

I've just kept my 2008 one - from what I have read they havent changed much?

Got ours yesterday, didn't work in DVD :badpc: but worked fine on the PC :surfweb:

Got mine yesterday as well. Didn't work on my PS3, the screen about being for private viewing blah blah came up then it was just a blank screen. Worked fine on my laptop though :thumbsup2
