Today we had a family brunch (all 11 of us) to plan Disney and just get everyone exited about the upcoming trip. (June 2006)

It was alot of fun. Everyone person was assigned a "princess or character" (the theme of our matching t-shirts!) Each person had a name tag, and matching plate, and cup. (Souvineer cup was either characters for the boys and princesses for the girls.) We had a lot of food: Polynesian fruit bowl, Adventurland Trifle, Micky mouse waffles, grilled cheeses and pizzas, micky mouse cake, pluto's pistachio pudding pie, Fantesyland chocolate pudding pie and Flounda Clam Chowda. We planned our ADR's and talked about the upcoming trip! We also had a raffle (disney dollars and travelmug)!! I encourage everyone to do this brunch!!!!!!

I love large groups in disney!!!!! Also, we had everyone write 2 or 3 things they absolutely wanted to do in disney(some were as simple as 2 days in MGM, and others were more extravagent like the Wiskes Cruise) We are trying to incorporate at least one of everyones ideas. It is working out great!

How cool!! I love that Idea!! I just wish I could get my family members to get that excited about it. They think I am crazy for planning as obsessively as I do. That looks like so much fun! :) :) :)

This is our second WDW trip with the eleven of us. We have a good mix of planners and everyone loves all things Disney! Luck us. The brunch gave us the starting off point to narrow down our wishes. The guys want to golf two days. Others want to make sure we have lots and lots of time in the parks. We hope to do one Wishes cruise. We've picked several dining options we've never tried before (Marrakesh and the Coral Reef) plus have incorporated some old time favorites (Chef Mickey's Character breakfast). We placed official and unofficial guides around the house along with "Wishes" papers and pens so everyone could have input. We had fun with the raffle for the Disney travel mug and Disney dollars. Naming the foods was a blast as was assigning everyone an appropriate princess or character. I would highly recommend this brunch idea to get everyone focused as to what they want to do to make the vacation a success!
