and I think that Pixar rushed Elio out too soon

Elio was supposed to be released in March of last year, but due to the writers strike it was delayed until this year, so no they didn't rush it out. Bad timing, not a lot of extra marketing for it plus going up against sequels with big-name recognition sealed it's fate as a flop money-wise.

I think Pixar is giving Elio the same treatment that they gave The Good Dinosaur and for comparison The Good Dinosaur was a failure from the start it was announced and with Elio I think people thought that it would be as big of a success like Finding Dory Finding Nemo Inside Out and Cars but I think they have marketed Elio very poorly like Disney did with Strange World with almost no toys except figurine sets and Disney Parks exclusive Elio plushies and I think that Pixar rushed Elio out too soon and the only reason why Elio got a summer release was so it could compete with How To Train Your Dragon and Lilo And Stitch

Wait? The plush are parks exclusive? That's what I've been waiting for on the Disney Store's website. Do the parks still have that service where you can order merchandise from home?

Yes and I have been also waiting to see if the Elio plushies are also gonna be sold at Disney Store but all they have lately is Inside Out 2 plushies but no Elio plushies. But I don't recall if the parks still have that service to order park merchandise from home. But as I mentioned I think Elio is getting the same treatment as The Good Dinosaur and there is few promotions of Elio anywhere and it tells me that Pixar is giving the movie less promotion

Like I said, Elio was supposed to be released last year, so any promo's/merch was all likely done back then.

As far as buying directly from the parks, no because Disney shut that app down awhile ago. And again, Elio plushies are only going to be available at the parks, not at Disney Store.

The Good Dinosaur at least had merchandise.

The Elio plush are on ebay. I wish I knew what they retailed for so I could figure out how bad the mark up is.

I saw it Open Weekend AMC IMAX Disney Springs and LOVED every minute !

Hope you have big screen TV at home when it is released on Disney+ Channel

Things that are park exclusive usually make their way to eBay, so it's worth checking there if that's an option for you.
