Disney Pins - Where do we start?

We just got back from our very first WDW vacation! Woohooo! My parents bought a DVC membership so I know I'll be back!

Anyway, my mom spoiled the heck out of ds (3) and has now started him on Disney Pin Trading - LOL. Problem is, he won't trade because he doesn't want to give anything up! So she just buys him whatever pins he wants. We got one of the starter kits and then ended up with about 10 more (yes, my mother is insane - LOL). So, I have a feeling we'll be going back sometime early next year and I'd like to know where I can kind of 'educate' myself on this before we head down there next year. Thanks!

One good start would be dizpins.com and the related pinpics.com - you can always branch out from there or google the subject to find more than any of us could read.

Dizpins gives you news of upcoming and current releases.
Pinpics is a database of all pins we know about. I think the count is now over 42,000. Pick a topic (say Figment) and do a search and you will see all the Figment pins we know about.

What I do to solve the "I don't want to trade any of the pins I have" dilemma is to buy two of the pin, one to keep and one to trade. But beware, bankruptcy is just around the corner.

you can also pick up some pins at the Disney Stores and buy others on line at Disney Shopping. You can also trade pins with people in this forum or on dizpins. both of these forums are glad to answer any questions you have.
