I am looking at getting some pins off of E-Bay for my neice to trade on our next trip. I just had one deal fall through and luckily I was able to got my money back. I don't want any problems with Sedesma (What is Sedesma anyways?) or counterfits pins. Anybody have a trustworthy seller?

I have bought from fab5pins and been very happy.

I have a very trustworth person I purchase Disney pins from on e-bay. I have bought pins and other Disney merchandise from him for years. He sells items at really low prices and he combines shipping too! Go to E-bay's site map and click on find a member. Type in sellandship. There are several with names close to that but his is exactly that. He is a power seller and has a really huge number. His name is Marc. Tell him that mickeystoontown sent you. Lisa

I use the seller "pincastle". These pins are all quality pins. They are usually lots containing 10 pins. Some lots even have lanyard pins included.,

I have used gyantzpod. He has a Disney pin story, and I've bought dozens of pins from him, all very nice and seemingly real. Quick shipper, seems like a nice guy, I've paid about $3 average for each.

The pins are not in lots but sold separately.

subbing - Thanks for sharing. I have wanted to start for years but at $10 a pin it is just too expensive. . .

I've purcahsed from him too. Very good!

I actually started a thread in the Collector's board about helping out new collectors. If anyone has their eye on any Ebay pin lots, but aren't quite sure if they're legit, feel free to post the auction #s here{or in the other thread I started}, and we'll be happy to help out with that too.

I bought my first lot from pincastle and they are very nice and arrived quickly. He is an ebay seller and has a regular website too.

I bought bought over 30 pins in 3 different pin lots from 2 different sellers ebay. My average cost per pin was $2.10 including the shipping.

I made sure that they were official disney pins and not sedesma (sedesma pins are made in spain and are a thinner pin). Check feedback on the person selling the pins, ask them questions about their pin lots if their descriptions aren't clear, and check the pins at pinpics.com if you can.

Finally, once you get your pins, invest in pin locks. We found out the hard way (lost 2 pins) that the rubber mouse ear backings that come with the pins can fall off.

Just a note on trading. Our experience from this past week was that the CMs were really patient and very gracious when trading pins with our kids. As a result, I think pin trading was one of my daughters' favorite things from our trip.

Third on gyantzpod. I've had no problems with fake pins from this seller and all transactions were excellent.

Also, second on pincastle. Perfect transactions and perfect, authentic pins.

I highly recommend both sellers!

Thanks for the info - I've tried sifting through the zillions of sellers on ebay too to find sources. I feel better hearing from some DIS people that they actually are legit.

I have access to a Disney outlet here in CA. They sell pins from $3.99 to $6.99. I buy them for my friends kids to trade. Let me know if you would like some.

has anyone checked out mousepinsonline he always has cheap pins..

Propins are nasty, and the CM's didn't want to trade them with our kids. Never again.

I've purchased 100's from Harval1, and only once received a pin I had issue with, and he promptly sent me a replacement.:thumbsup2 They run about $2.50 a pin.

I'm looking to pick up a few pins for my kids to trade over our Spring Break trip. I really don't want to put too much money into the pins, because while I know my kids will have fun trading, they will not be looking for a "valuable" collection - just some fun!

Is this ebay auction selling legit tradeable pins?? Item #170067429496. The seller admits they are not the "prettiest pins" and that they do not look like the pins they sell at WDW. Will they be tradeable ... or is this just a bad idea?? Thanks!

Wow - I don't know. I'm in the same position as you - I'm trying to get some for my kids to trade for our summer trip, but they just want to have fun trading while they're there, then they go into a box in the basement not to resurface ever again unless we go to Disney again (and I'm pretty sure this will be our last trip). Mine like trading for the CM or LE pins, only because the CM's tell them that they're "cool" but otherwise seem to just trade for what they like.

I was all set to buy from mousepinsonline until I read noodleknitter's comments. I did pull up the seller she recommended, Harval1, and he had sets of 50 for $100 which isn't too much more than the seller you're looking at (per pin), but that was the smallest number you could buy. I guess I'd just be concerned about the "they don't look like the ones they sell at WDW" part. I'm concerned because my kids aren't the cute 2-4 year olds that any CM will take anything from because they don't want to upset them. 2 will be teens when we go (and the other 12), so I'm sure that if they have "untradable" ones, CM's won't be shy to tell them no and I don't want to get in that position. But I also don't want to spent $7 a pin.

Think I'll go with Harval1 and get 50 and hope most of them are tradable! Let me know if/what you do - good luck!

Oh - one more consideration. I know last time we had trouble with having some pins (which were legitimate ones that we'd actually bought on our previous trip, but that was 5 years earler) that still had the metal backs (instead of the rubber Mickey heads). I'm not sure if any of these sellers' pins still have the metal backs, but I did read it in some of the feedback comments as I scrolled through some sellers. I looked and on ebay you can buy like 25 rubber backs through some sellers for around $3 plus $3 shipping, while I remember at Disney getting them for about $8 for 8 of them so if you do get the ones with the wrong backs, maybe get the better ones before you go to save money! The CM's will still trade, but will keep the rubber back for themselves, not take your metal back.

Has anyone bought from pinscheap?

Says .... You WILL NOT receive Sedesma or Sedesma like pins, Euro Pins, Propins, 2000 Dancers, Cutties, or any other low quality pins.

Only $1.99 each for as many as you order.

Going in Feb and was going to get some for DS2.5 ..... probably not to trade but you never know.
