Disney pin codes + Bill = TROUBLE *11/01 Almost time for our Happy Place*

So sorry about your Mom... I lost my grandma the same way...

Your Mom does share her birthday with Tailor!

I am so sorry to hear about your grandma .

My birthday is the day after theirs!! Hard to celebrate it though because we always used to share our birthdays but Bill always tries to do something sweet for me.

Hi Kathy,
I just found your report and am on board! Your whole PTR is what Disney is all about, from wonderful family trips to caring about causes!

My aunt is a breast cancer survivor, so the disease is very close to my heart. I am actually on the committee for The Trail Ride for the Cure, which happens tomorrow! We have put together a trail ride with the Buffalo Girls of Northern Kentucky, who lost a member of their organization to breast cancer. This cause is really important to me, I am so glad that you are sending out the message!:thumbsup2

P.S. I too, am a lover of smilies!!:goodvibes

Thanks for the reminder..I didn't even know.

My really good friend died from Breast Cancer in 1991. I still miss her.

 to you

:hug:I am sorry about your Mom.

I just had my first Mammogram this past spring when I turned 37. It wasn't too bad.

I'm behind, so I'm going to post about Day 3.

I think your plans look totally "do able". I would suggest getting a stroller. My DD is 3, but she is super energetic and loves to walk. She needs a stroller. It's a lot. Maybe every other day? Something to think about.

Also, for your counter service, you may want to narrow it down to 3? I worry that you will be standing around while everyone just kind of says "what do you think?" Maybe you could say "if you are in the mood for this, we can go here" or "here are some choices for you". May avoid some conflict because if you are like me :rolleyes1 the waiting around and endless talk would push me over the edge. :rolleyes1

ETA: How fun, a Dis meet!!! You guys are going to have a great night!!

Okay, off to read Day 4.

 I'm sorry about your Mom. Thanks for putting the word out there. I'm sure October is especially hard for you.

Just adding to your message, don't ignore your body! My Grandma did the same thing and died from lung cancer. Her Dr. told her if she would have come in sooner then she probably would have beat it or lived a lot longer. Listen to your body! *steps down from soapbox*

Day 4 looks great!! Not sure you would need a stroller this day. Everything is basically in the same area.

I was laughing about the Beverly because my husband just said a few nights ago "We get to get A (DD) with the Beverly this year!" Men!

Have you been to Teppan Edo before?

Love all of your plans!!!

Sorry about your mom. Thank you for posting that reminder about Breast Cancer Awareness month and checking regularly for signs of breast cancer. So many of my friends don't and they should. I'm going to pass around your list of websites to my family and friends.

I'm so sorry about your Mom Tracy  My SIL is a breast cancer survivor, she was only in her 30's when she was diagnosed and amazingly went on to have another DD :thumbsup2

Hello. good idea about the counter service thing, I might also just steer them to the nearest one :rotfl:. I know we will be doing Sunshine Seasons on one of the Epcot days, Bill LOVES the pork chop and the key lime pie there.

 Thank you, you are right about October being very hard for me. I am so sorry to hear that about your Grandma. That is funny about what your hubby said about the Beverly. Bill and I went to Teppan Edo last November and really enjoyed it.

Love all of your plans!!!

I am so happy you caught it early Rosie . I remember reading about the biopsy on the Focker thread, I am so happy it turned out to be nothing.

I don't like formal gardens. I like wild nature. It's just the wilderness instinct in me, I guess. – Walt Disney

We love Animal Kingdom, I know some people don’t like the layout, say that it is hotter than other parks and that there is not enough things to do, etc., but we really enjoy this park. I will never forget on our first trip how much Josh loved the Tree of Life and the safari. He has talked about Animal Kingdom for 3 years and I can’t wait to take him back.

These two pictures from that trip always make me smile:

(Yes, that is a squirrel at Flame Tree Barbque that stole the corn on the cob. We laughed for a long time about that one.)

Doesn't Josh looke thrilled to be wearing the Mickey Ears? No one made him, in fact I think he wanted "hat" pictures.

Day 5 PLANS:

Dare I say it, I am hoping for another rope drop. The reason for this is because we are going to two parks today. After Animal Kingdom we are having dinner at Magic Kingdom and watching SpectroMagic. At any point in any day they can go off on their own, go back to the room for pool time or a nap, these are just plans not the law, I am not enforcing my wrath on anyone
bat-1.gif
. All I ask is to TRY to make all ADR’s and if they can’t they need to give me ample warning so I can set something else up for us. Bill and I are going to have our vacation, they are welcome to join us, but we are not letting anyone detour our vacations ever again.

GOALS:

- Make rope drop for Animal Kingdom
- Try to do Lion King, Flights of Wonder, and Nemo
- Expedition Everest
- Dinosaur

We need to be at Magic Kingdom by 4:30pm, we are having dinner at the Crystal Palace then getting a spot for SpectroMagic. While we are waiting, I will take Christian to get fast passes for either Big Thunder Mountain or Splash. If BTMRR has a short wait time Christian and I might take a quick ride

.

Bill has decided he wants to try Splash at some point during the trip. Does anyone have tips about Splash? Are there any rows that have more leg room than the others? Bill needs all the leg room he can get since his legs are not limber at all.

After Spectro we are going to ride some rides, the park doesn’t close until 9pm. Bill and I have never ridden things while Wishes is going on. I don’t know if I can do it, I love Wishes so much, but I will give it a try.

We got some Mickey Mail this week.

.

.

.

.

We got our Magical Express tags, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets, and gift cards for the kids:

The flash woke Ace up and he got nosey:

That picture cracks us up

, it looks like he is giving Mickey the evil eye.

Next installment…Toy Story Mania here we come!!

Hi Tracy!! I'm about 5 pages behind so I have to go back and catch up. According to your ticker your vacation begins in one month!! Can I dance?

:banana::banana: :dance3::yay::dance3: :banana::banana:

OK, the squirrl picture just FREAKED ME OUT!:scared1:

The Ace picture though made me:rotfl:

Your AK/MK day sounds great and good idea about going off on your own if they don't want to do something:thumbsup2

All caught up!! Your plans for the first few days look great! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to hear about your DISmeet with Kathy!! I'm jealous! :goodvibes

I vote yes for the stroller too - we went back and forth between a single and double this year and ended up with a single, which Zach (5 at the time) used on & off. We even rented a second single stroller for Alex (8 & small for his age) on our Epcot day/late MK night - it worked out well. If we go next spring we'll probably rent a single again - even if we only use it a little bit, it's nice to have the option and to give one of the kids a ride when they need it (or a shady place to retreat).

Thanks for sharing your mom's story.

Kathy

I thought those pictures might bring a smile. I was happy about the Mickey Mail but upset there is no more weird plastic envelope :rotfl:.

too funny

Thank you!

Hi Amy!! I read "According to your ticker your vacation begins in one month!!" and my heart skipped and I went into panic mode for about a minute :lmao:.

OK, the squirrl picture just FREAKED ME OUT!:scared1:

The squirrel freaked me out when I did it. That was my first trip to Disney and I was like "what is going on here?" Bill just laughed and laughed. Ace is totally crazy, he fits in with us so well. We have to do our own thing, I will not have someone stress me completely out like Amy did last year :sad2:.

Thanks Amy. I am so looking forward to seeing Kathy . Thanks for the stroller info!

Love both of your days you've posted recently for Epcot and AK....the pictures of Ace as always are full of :rotfl: and the pic of the corn cob stealing squirrel is a riot!
