I figured with all of the overwhelming things that happen at Disney I would let the kids in on a few things that we might/might not do while we are there, "special events" I am calling it. I made up letters with the basic info about those things:

Josh already said "NO WAY" to Characters in Flight.

I decided to let the globe be a surprise!

Bill can't wait for Spectro again.

I don't think I will let them look at the picture too much on this one, I want the lights to be a surprise.

I have no idea why the Fantasmic one is bigger. We will be talking to Hannah about the scary things and that we won't let anything ever hurt her.

I made 2 different kinds of cast member appreciation cards:

very good idea on the clue cards so to speak of the bigger themed things...though may I just make one suggestion for Christian...he may benefit from additional insight of noise, waiting, crowds, etc...to just help him better prepare for those items too.

You are very prepared thos kids are going to have a great trip and how sweet to make the CM appreciation cards.... to you!

Thank you so much. With Christian and Hannah we are going to give them a heads up while we are sitting down at meal time about the upcoming noise, waiting, crowds, etc. Ear plugs have already been purchased as well .

72 days until DISNEY WORLD!! I am getting happier by the day, I think . Bill has been using the tilt like crazy, it is too cute and the muscle spasms are 80% less, the ankle isn't swelling anymore, and he feels so much better.

I think the CM's need to be told they are appreciated, they put up with a lot from ungrateful guests, I want them to know there are guests that really do appreciate them.

Bill loves talking about 'Ohana, he loves his meat off the skewers and he says there is a huge bonus to going there this year, we will be with Kathy and her family .

He has told me "NO, NO WAY, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN". I tried to get him to watch the video and he wouldn't even look at it . It might just be Abbey and Bill, I don't know if I can do it either, but I also don't think I could let Bill go up there by himself.

You are right about Bill's neck being scary, it freaked me out, everything seems fine now thank goodness. He LOVES his new chair, it is so quiet, he can sneak up on me now .

Abbey cries every time she sees the dresses.

XMIL is fine, she does have an aggravated ulcer and had to have her blood pressure medicine adjusted. She still doesn't like anyone but her doing all the stuff at the house. She was complaining today about how Josh mowed the lawn . It is grass, it is cut, be thankful already .

I can't wait for Park Fare and Chef Mickey's Bill and I haven't been to either one of those. We loved Teppan Edo, I can't wait to do it again.

Well I made it over here !Followed the Focker crumbs !!!ave a lot of catching up to do!!! We leave in 10days so tomprrow is the single digit . Like you this trip got changed originally we were going in May ( I did anyway ) Then a friend wanted to go and talked DD into September and then decided to go with someone else in August!! Any who we are off to Disney for our 2nd Family Trip!!

Those cards are such a great idea! I know when I was a CM I was having a really bad day dealing with some really rude guests out at the "cart" and this one lady looked at me as she was paying and said "You must be exhausted standing out in this heat all day just so someone can enjoy their trip. Thanks so much for being so polite and working so hard." It literally made my week, and obviously made a huge impression on me as I can remember her exact words over 10 years later. :
