When I was a little kid, I noticed sometimes on TV that certain things looked strange- like when they took a long shot of a car coming at you at a slight angle- the back end of the car would look funny. I asked the grown ups and they simply dismissed it. I figured it out on my own- that it was a long zoom shot, and of such a distance that the back end of the car was relatively the same distance as the front end of the car from where the camera was...
[PS: actually, it might be 'counter-foreshortening'.]

Thanks for explaining this one! I too wondered what was going on and even got out maps and old pictures because I didn't remember any curves there on the monorail!! Were you standing at the railroad station to get that shot? Very neat picture!! Thanks for all your pictures, actually...
