Ya know, there's a certain... ah... 'bearing'? that both Pocahontas and Jasmin use... Nice grab!

:)

That is HILARIOUS Jud. I just logged on and when I saw her pose, I thought the very same thing! :goodvibes

....to LUNCH! About 2 years ago, we discovered the wonderful, little alcove behind Flametree BBQ. It borders the river and overlooks Everest.

This is a shot of an above-ground pond there, complete with HUGE lilypads and cranes. If you've never sought out this secluded (and often unpopulated) spot at DAK, check it out next time you go:

Been there! Done that! Got the picture... of EE being built! Yes, very cool, previously little known spot!

Here's my last shot from DCA. This was the only angle I could get this photographed from as two-inches to the left of this shot was one of Disney's construction walls that ran the lenght of the entire 'California' sign. I'm not sure what was being worked on as it was just a section of sidewalk that was surrounded by the walls. It sure did frustrate me when I saw first saw those walls there, but I'm pretty happy with the way the shot turned out. I'll start up the Disneyland Magic Kingdom shots with my next POTD.

That is Christmas Wishes during one of the two or three points (including the finale) where they shoot off from positions all around the park. I video'd it twice from the Poly Beach, but haven't put it together yet...

BTW! Nice crisp shot! Well done!

:)

Oh. Ok. That makes sense. The only reason why I asked is because the only time I have seen them shoot the fireworks off from other locations like in barrbr's picture was NYE. That night we were struck by the fact that they had launchers from points stretching from near the GF almost all the way over to the CR. The image that barrbr luckily captured reminded me of the awesome spectacle of standing before a massive wall of explosions we witnessed on NYE.:thumbsup2

Okay- that's nice! You ain't using P&S! hehehehee...

No I shot these with a Nikon D40. I love this camera although I almost feel ashamed as I don't know anything other than the automatic programs I have not been brave enough to try the manual settings. Just need to actually have the time to sit down and learn what they do and such....one day:confused:

Hey! I have an old Olympus C 740 Ultra zoom and it was three years before I inadvertently learned that it had a manual focus!!! Of course, they don't give you a manual and only mention it in passing in the briefing sheet that comes with it- found it and how to do it on a board on the net... love the camera though, but I do long for that sharpness that only seems to come from those big neck stretchers!

I figure, you stick to auto until you see the need to figure out some better way- then look for how to do that. I am sure my puter can do lots of things I don't know about, but not even thinking of reading the manual for it...

I do really want to learn all about it...I even bought two big books about it and even I DVD. I think they are still in the Barnes & Noble bag they came in!! I will get to it one day....but for now you are right the auto settings are working just fine!
