Question for YEKCIM, or anyone else willing to answer-

Do you take high resolution pics, then change the resolution to post here or email, or does Photobucket do that for you?

Thanks in advance! I am just learning about this digital photography thing, although I've taken digital pics for the past 4 yrs. - just never touched the settings or posted them. Taking classes, and learning much here though -- from the REAL pros!

What I typically do is to resize mine down to 400KB or a little less, and then upload to photobucket. PB will do it for you, but I found initially that they were downsized more than I wanted, so I just do it myself, and find that the 250-400KB range works well for me.

If your picture editing program has a resizing option, 800 x 600 res fits a 1024 x 768 screen (pretty much the standard anymore, unless you have one of them great big wide screen monitors) when you account for Windows and your internet browser... Although, I've heard a lot of people say they'd rather see the large pictures so that they can "borrow" them as a picture for their desktop background. I'm back and forth, but I think I'm going to start posting 1024 x 768 again...

I want to know this too. I would LOVE to have pictures that look like this to put in one of those electronic picture frames.

Is this through Photoshop? Or does your camera do this? If so, what kind of camera do you have? I love your pictures!!!

Dave, you are very kind, and I appreciate the compliment; I likewise regard your photos as top shelf, and enjoy seeing your POTD's each day. I've only been back from The World for two days, and I'm already missing Mickey! All the great photos only make it worse but, hey, I'm addicted. Gotta have my DIS POTD fix each day!
