We are true band geeks too and I can't wait till DD marches down Main Street USA with her HS marching band in April 2009!! It will be her senior year and what a great way to end the season!!!!!!

I'm so excited! I just got a brand-spankin'-new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8 camera for my birthday! I just can't tell you how excited I am. I'll be able to get lots and lots of great shots this trip that I couldn't the last time. My old POS did great for outside shots, but anything in low light or with flash didn't turn out too great. So now I have a month to play with it to get used to it. Yay!

I have the FZ8. It's a great camera and I'm sure you will like it. I've had mine for a year and no problems at all. Lots of settings to learn about, though.

Haven't stayed there in many yrs (Hey...$42. per night in 72' ) and want to try out my new 50mm f1.8 prime lens that both you & YEKCIM recommended!! Hope I do it justice??
Also...need to get final pics of the Studio's parade before it goes away !!
