What was going on that day? I thought maybe Easter, but the date was wrong. Is this just for the Flower and Garden Fesitival? Can ANYONE tell me if this is what the crowds for Thanksgiving are like? Great pics everyone!!!

Nothing was going on that I know of... actually I think most mornings (with exception, maybe, to off season), between around 10:00 to noon are pretty crowded on Main Street, because that's when everyone's getting there... You've definetly going to want to avoid WDW this year because of the Thanksgiving holiday between Nov 18 - Nov 24. Immediately before or after these dates aren't bad times to go. [that is of course unless you like very large crowds]

yes it was closed the WHOLE time. (let me say, every time we went to the MK) They are moving the BBB over there and they were working on it. While I was shopping at World of Disney one afternoon, the lady from BBB and I were talking and she said they had the walk thru at the castle for this reason. So that's how I know. i was surprised at how many things were closed when we were there, and how HOT is was. we have been in august lots of times and it was NEVER that hot. one day it was 105 (real degrees) with the heat index it was like 109. that's what it said on the news that night. holy cow. as much as i like the heat, i'm thinkin' maybe we will try some other time for our next trip. so thanks very much for the pics of the mosaic's since i did not get to see them THIS time. and as i tell my dh, just another reason to go back!!!!!

Yup, I don't think this one's going anywhere, there's always next time!

Oh, BTW are we to expect lots of great photos on the DCL POTD thread from your upcoming cruise?!

Oh yeah, I'm bringing my good camera this time (DL trip I brought the pocketable digcam) - so watch out! They actually have a pic of the day over on the Disney Cruise Line Forums but I feel more at home over here, so hopefully nobody minds...

I was there to take photos so I gave them away . . . . .

This parade was the day they were taping the Christmas parade. It was in the beginning of December.

Sorry about the date stamps, I'm working on finding a copy of Photoshop Elements for a half decent price so I can get rid of them. I did, however, discover that if I turn all of my pictures into B&W the date stamp goes away.
