Debbie - that photo is precious - howold was she on the trip?

Thanks...She was 11 months and she was the best MINNIE! She even got on the floor with her. It was definitely a magical moment!

Debbie - I agree - that's one of those "This is the true meaning of Disney" pictures! Love it!

We're STILL in the cold (last night it got to at least -13 with a wind chill of -33 that I saw!). We had a "Cold" day today - no school because it was too cold. Never heard of that before except when we lived in Charlotte (NC) because "kids might have to wait for the bus and might not own a coat!" Well, here in Green Bay, Wisconsin, you'd think they'd own a coat or two! We only get one snow day so I don't know what they're going to do tomorrow because it's not supposed to be much warmer tonight!

Anyways, guess we'll stick with the warm theme! There a story behind this pic (seems like there are with all mine!:rotfl: ) This was our third afternoon at BB. DS (then 3) had done this the past days wearing "floaties" and wanted to try it without them. He was a pretty good swimmer, so I went up with him to the top (to lift him up because they didn't have a CM up there since it was early December and pretty empy) and DH went down by where he'd hit the water just in case.

I lifted him up and let him go. As he moves down on the pulley, the lifeguard leaps up, rescue float in hand and yells to me "Can he swim!?", looking a bit panicked. Being the bad mom that I am, I called back "We'll see!":lmao: Of course, he hit the water and swam easily to the side, but it was still funny. I'm sure the lifeguard didn't agree! :sad2:

Oh my goodness marciemi that is priceless. My son absolutely adored doing this when we went to BB. I was terrified the whole time and he could not stay off of it. Great pic.

Mellie - my kids have always loved this too. Now they're much older and this past summer we went to Wisconsin Dells and one of the waterparks had a similar thing, but you literally jumped out onto it and your arms had to take your entire body weight at once (hard to describe - it was much less "smooth" than this one). I did it once and was sore for a couple days. DS13 could not do it no matter how hard he tried - he'd go out and straight down. The other 2 did it about a hundred times. They're all bummed out that they'll be too big for it next summer at BB. Pretty sure the height restriction was 60 inches and only DS11 is under that and he's about 59.5 right now!

For those of you asking what -23 feels like (or -33 like it is right now!), I'd just like to point out that I'm not stupid enough to go out and find out! :rotfl: Haven't been out since it got so cold - my house is warm and toasty, thank you!

I went over to the tech support and a very helpful DISer by the name of Dan helped me out. Tell him what you've tried and he'll fix you right up!

Thank you everyone I'm leaving for WDW on WEdnesday early am for a surprise trip with the kids and DH (well he has to work the whole time) But all of your great pictures has given me a Disney fix without spilling the surprise to my kids!!! GDAD I will be at AKL I will look for you I'm sure I can spot you with a camera in hand!!!!

Well, this shows how boys and girls view things differently :)

My son's favorite attraction is NOT Cinderella's Golden Carrousel, but his twin sister insisted he ride with her.
This was his way of turning it into a "boy" ride... "Yeeee haaa- ride 'em cowboy!" :lmao:
