Disney Photomovie now only $49.95!

Yes, you can go back & work on it later. I’ve been working on mine the past 2 days. Just about ready to order. They offer UPS ground standard shipping for $6.49. They state it takes an average of 5 days. Express shipping for $12.99 arrives next day. The only place they mention production time is in the International shipping section. So I assume once you submit the order, you should have the DVD in a week. I’m pretty stoked about it. It’ll make a great anniversary gift for my DW. It was fun creating it too. You can watch a preview before you order. I found that certain pictures went better in certain spots based on the Disney templates already in place. For example, at one point, Goofy says “Ok, ready for your close-up!” & then I re-arranged my photos to have a group shot. Just wish they allowed you to use more pictures though. But it’s all good.

Thanks for the great replies, I'm so excited to make one! Of course, still have more questions... (sorry)

Know there are Characters and "surprises" added, Can I expect to see some pictures of the rides, or do I need to put those in if I want them?

(just a little further...)

I ordered the photomovie, as a Christmas present for my son. Needless to say it was unwrapped within the hour. We both LOVE the video! My son thinks he is a movie star, and I got to use all the photopass pictures without paying singly for them. :Pinkbounc :cool1:

I'm wondering if I can upload my photopass pictures to the photomovie (instead of buying the photo CD) and save the photpass pictures to my computer? Or, are the pictures embedded into the movie and I won't be able to print any single image?

thx

What's the difference between photopass and photopass movie?

Photopass is what you get in the parks when a WDW photographer takes your picture. When you return home, you can order the pictures online. The Disney photomovie is where you upload your pic's into their system, and they put it together into a DVD, along with clips and other surprises from the parks.

Thanks for posting this - it looks really neat - but, a couple of questions, though.

The OP sent the link, which I followed. That site says that the DVD can hold "up to 112 photos" and then breaks down the "7 available chapters" and says each of the chapters (ie; Magic Kingdom, Epcot, etc.) can hold "up to 16" photos. (Most are less.)

But, that chapter list only maxes out at about 70 photos. Where would the other 40 go? The site doesn't say. It doesn't seem that it would be the "slide show" at the end...but is it? Am I reading something wrong or missing something?

Also, how exactly does the PhotoPass program work with this? Do you buy something at the park - like a website code or something - to get access to those photos online, or...? Our first visit in 12+ years is coming up so these options/programs are new for us!

Thanks to anyone who can shed some light :sunny: on this!

Can you make this photo movie anywhere at the parks? Do you have to buy the pictures first from the photopass first ? Gosh, this sounds awesome. Would love to get this for my son for Christmas! We leave in 5 days and are at Disney until Nov 14th. I don't think I can get it done in time for Christmas?

Thank you

Charleyann

This looks amazing! My dh has a milestone birthday coming up next year, and I think this is what I'm going to get him. If I can get a couple of childhood photos from his parents, that would be great; otherwise, I'll just have to start when we began dating. We have first trip together pictures to Disneyland, our wedding pictures from WDW, and both of our kids growing up.

Thanks again for the link!

The additional photos go into a final slideshow at the end. The Clip/Parks section says it runs about 10-14 minutes. The entire thing runs about 24 minutes. I have been uploading for a couple of days, can't wait to see the final product.

You get a code on photopass, and are able to upload to the photopass movie site pictures from the photopass.

Thanks a bunch, kaybird! It does seem like it would be a great memento from the trip... :thanks:
