While I still love talking photography on forums, it seems there is a great level of photo-dialogue emerging on G+ among mainstream and Disney niche-photographers alike.

Who all from here is on Google+? Scott Thomas and I interact frequently on there, so I know he is. I don't recall anyone else (then again, I'm bad with the username to real name transition sometimes).

Today, I'm sharing some of my Disney photography tips on there at the request of fellow G+ users. So far, I've shared depth of field and HDR tips. https://plus.google.com/#117753014204183623475/posts

I hope to see you all over there (and Circle you!) soon. As far as social media goes, it's really an incredible level of discourse right now!

I just joined G+ a couple of days ago. So I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing.

I can't find you--can you post a link to your profile?

Actually, if everyone who is on there (who wants to participate in Disney/photography discussions/sharing) could post a link to their profile, that'd be awesome.

I'm signed up on Google Plus, but I check it about as frequently as I check Facebook (once in a blue moon). However, I have been known to sign up for accounts for services I have no interest/time to post on in order to follow posts I am interested in (Twitter).

See if this works

I just added both of you to a circle, so you can probably see me that way. Groucho added me yesterday and I already had Cody.

Hi everybody. I've been reading the Colby Brown post about how to use G+ and I have a question:

How do you make it so that when you post a link to your G+ account it shows up with your name instead of just a bunch of link gobbleydgook?

For instance here is what I think of as the link I should be sending out to link myself to to others:
https://plus.google.com/107277503509828807114/posts

Scott Smith and Kevin Hobstetter got their links to show up as their names instead of in a hyperlink form.

I know they are Wizards with magical powers but how do us mindless peons make the magic happen?
TIA

PS I'm starting to get the idea that G+ is really just a way to get you to use Picasa as a photo hosting site and that G+ is really just a bulletin board linking you with stories and comments about the Picasa pictures?? I am on the right track here? Sorry for being such a Noob!

When you post a reply:

1) type your name

2) highlight it

3) click on "Insert a Link" icon above

4) insert your Google + link in box

You are good to go :thumbsup2

When you are entering your message:

  • Copy your url you want to link (Google plus in this instance)
  • switch cack to your message and type in your name

Marlton Mom

  • Select your name using your mouse
  • Click on insert link, above (it is the icon with the earth and chain links)
  • Paste your url in to the box and voila!

I really don't use Facebook much now there's Google+. I signed up, but have not done much else. I need to figure out how to use it so I can get some lessons from you guys.

Ancestry

Here's mine. I've haven't really hung out much on Google+ because I wasn't crazy about it. However since Facebook has made all of those changes the past few days I may be on Google+ more.

Also, I have to be honest, I'm only a photography novice. Most of my social networking comes from my real career - genealogy and family history.

I'm more of a lurker on this board and kind of a newbie in the photography area too, but I've learned so much from reading the advice from all of you! :worship:

I just joined google+ and don't really have anything up there yet, but here is my link: Jayme Neumyer
