I read that a Disney Photographer is included in the Intimate wedding package. I know that a lot of the custom wedding brides choose to use an outside photographer.
I was wondering what is actually included in the package for Intimate Weddings. I am a picture/scrapbook crazy person and the wedding pictures are THE MOST IMPORTANT part for me (of course besides getting married to the man I love
)
How long do you have the photographer(i think i read 2 hours)? I do plan on trying to do a Wishes cruise, but I would assume I'd just take my own pictures there! I also heard that we won't "own" the pictures for THREE YEARS? Is it the same for intimate weddings? I want lots of pictures!!

I understand that Randy gives you a hi-res CD as part of the package price, but other brides can confirm that. We had our Intimate in October and it was under the "old" rules. We had Ty, who was so great! (I like to point out that the picture in my sig was taken by a friend.) Ty took a few pictures before the ceremony of DH and the cake, all during the ceremony, the cake cutting, and for about 1 & 1/2 hours after that in and around the resort. He said he would have done more, but we were just tired at that point, our cheeks hurt from all that smiling! By the time we got home from our honeymoon our pictures were posted on-line by Disney. We got our folio (12 pictures for us but I think now it's increased to 20 pictures for Intimate brides) and low-res CD in the mail a few weeks later. The low-res CD is NOT suitable for making prints, they are very tiny and too grainy to enlarge. You can purchase the hi-res CD of all of your pictures for about $1000 or wait 3 years and purchase the hi-res CD for $99. You can also buy the printed proofs for about $250 if you buy them in advance. It's a lot more cost effective to buy the proofs in advance than afterward when they charge you per-picture. I know 2 professional photographers who do weddings and they say they sell the CD to the couple for $1000 so it is apparently the going rate. If you use Disney photography and if you can afford it, get the hi-res CD and then you can make your own prints.
about hiring an outside photographer or just sticking to the package. In the end, I used Disney and was extremely HAPPY and SATISFIED!
