i just talked to Andrew from DPS, he said that if i want to have negative, he has two options for meÈ
CD ROM (300+ DPI) OF THE IMAGES, FOR $1,000.
or A LOW RESOLUTION CD ROM (72 DPI) OF THE IMAGES FOR $75.
is it worth the money?
so is it mean that they no longer take picture using film? i really prefer negative rather than CD...
thanks

and what will you choose? let say if i buy in five years for less expenive price, will that be 300+DPI or 72?

Disney only uses Digital Cameras now..they are like 12 megapixle or something like that (compared to the 3,4, and 5 most of the general consumer digital cameras are). I would go with the 300+ DPI, just because it would be a better quality picture.

Disc vs. negative's is just like the debate between film/digital. Digital will last forever, and you can print them yourself on you own printer. Email them, or whatever (I'm assuming you have rights to do all this since you are paying for it)

Hope that helps :)

let say if i want to take the higher resoulution one, do you think that they willlower the price in 5 years ? because 1000 is really too expensive for me...
and i heard fromsomeone that dps used to give negative to international bride... ? is this true now?
thanks

Well they never offered me the high res CD for my honeymoon shoot instead of the negs that they used to offer and I was international.

Yes the price does drop after 5 years but I'm not sure to what.

No offence as I know that for intimates and for those that are trying to reach their minimum's on a custom but the above is one of the reasons why I chose to go outside DPS - with my photographer I've already got my album of proofs (without proof written on them) all 536 of them plus 4 high resolution CD's of all the pictures too and I didn't have to pay $1000 for them!

ic, thank you very much for the info
we really want to buy 300ipd cd, but it is really too much for us...

The information that I have about the photography is this.....
Yes, you can get your high resolution CD with all your photos for $1000. (I agree, this is way too much) OR, if you wait 3 or 5 years (I can't remember which it is) You can buy that same CD for only $99.

If you purchase the low resolution CD, you will not be able to print any of your photos. A low resolution CD is only for downloading and viewing them from your computer. ( I believe a low resolution comes with every intimate package for free)

I hope this helps you out some!

hi Merandab4
thank you very much for your info
it really helps, do you think that i will need to need DPS to know that i want to buy the cd in 3 or 5 years ahead? so they will at least keep one copy for me?
thanks again
