I have been reading about the Disney Photo Pass recently. I kind of know what it's about, but would like to hear from someone who has used it. Did you like it? What did it cost you? How does it work?

I am going to Disney with my two daughters :earsgirl: :earsgirl: and was wondering if this would be something I should look into.

Any advice would be appreciated!!

We just got back last week and loved the photopass. You get the pass from any offical disney photograher and they are free. Anytime you see a disney photographer you give them your photopass, which is like a credit card, and they swipe it in their machine when they take your photos. The photo are avaible online for 60 days. They look awesome and its a great way to get alot of nice shots online. The only time it will cost you anything is if you want to order prints. I dont remember exactly the cost but I think the 5x7s we order we 12.95 each, pricey, but hey its disney. Had I known the photo were going tobe online and so easy to access I would have had more pictures taken by the disney photographers.

Those are great pictures!! I think I may go ahead and take this option. Is there something special I have to do? Do I need to let them know before I arrive?

All you have to do is get your picture taken by the first disney photographer you see, they will give you your photo pass. One word of advice, when you get it, immediately put your name on it, as I lost mine because it was mixed up with a bunch of others by one of the photograhpers.

Before Photopass, when you got your picture taken at Disney World by one of their photographers like in front of the Castle or with a character like Ariel, they'd give you a paper card at each location. You then brought that card to the Town Hall/Guest Services to check them out and see if you wanted to buy them and you HAD to decide right then if you wanted them.

Well, now they have photopass which means you only get ONE card and you get to decide if you want to buy them at home rather then the day they were taken in the park.

No more hasty, impulsive buying of the Disney photos!!! :teeth:

are you able to download the photos from the internet, or do you have to buy them?

Of course, they are NOT free. These are the photos they take of you at WDW that you used to by while there. Now you can buy them from the comfort of your home. Not free.
