So i was planning on purchasing an annual pass for myself -- I am attending a conference in April and will be spending 5 days at WDW - the following April i will be there for a family trip for 6 or 7 days. The annual pass comes with the photo pass downloads. I definitely want to take advantage of the memory maker/photo pass for my family trip. I had done the memory maker with my family in a past trip, but i am confused how the memory maker varies/differs compared to the photo pass (with downloads).

The only difference that i can see is that the photo pass would only be linked to my magic band which i guess would only affect ride photos. I guess depending upon the ride it may exclude some of my family. Anyother photo pass spots we should be ok as long as i always scan my band.

What am i missing here?

It is definitely a savings for me if i look at the cost of buying one annual pass for myself compared to purchasing tickets for a total of 11 or 12 days (5 days + 6-7 days) plus buying the memory maker for $149.

All photos will show up in your account as long as everyone in your family is linked to your MDE account. Any family member can have their MB scanned at Photopass stops and the ride readers will read the RFID info.

I understand that is how the memory maker works, but what if i am the only one with the annual pass on the account?

If i am the holder of the MDE account - will all photos that people in my traveling party take get lumped into one photo pass account? If so that will be great! I just want to fully understand before i buy my annual pass (I have never had one before)

Memory maker and photo pass are the exact same except photo pass lasts longer since it's the duration of your AP

As long as everyone is linked to your friends and family list on MDE, then you'll get everyone's photos no matter if you're at the park with them or not. It'll be the same for the others but they won't have the option to download for free, only the AP will

So you only need one person to be an AP holder to get everyone's photos

Awesome!!! Thanks for the clarification. I am so glad that they are offering the 13 month deal -- this is the only way the AP is working out for me. I'm going during Easter week in April 18-22 and then going back April 15 - 21 the following April - I was gonna be just a few days short, but with the extension I am covered and with the inclusion of photo pass -- it is a no brainer. A little pixie dust was just sprinkled on me!!!

hey folks,
I've read the terms of the AP with PhotoPass multiple times and the Memory Maker terms umpteen times. Based on the descriptions and terms, it seems to me that for AP with PP, you only get to download regular pictures taken by photographers. The Memory Maker seems to include attraction, dining, and magic shots which are not clearly included for AP with PP. I would love to know if anyone has firsthand experience. I read in another forum where someone said they were only able to download ride shots taken on Buzz Lightyear but not other ride photos. If this is the case, it would seem as though there may still be some value in MM. Could someone shed some light? thanks

I've downloaded ride photos on just about every possible ride using PP with my AP.
