Disney Parks Price Increases-What is your breaking point?

No breaking point yet! But I also don't treat a Disney/Universal trip as a big vacation. I see them like a museum membership, where I renew once a year and go as needed.

At what point will you stop going to the parks?

My children are grown, so it is just the two of us we have to pay for now. It is still doable. But I don't think I could afford to go if we had to pay for an entire family to go Disney World.

Our point was after Covid. Our annual passes expired during Covid. We haven't been back since and we live within an hour of the park.

As others have said, it's a combination of things:

• I'd like to go back, but at this point I've been to WDW enough times that I don't really have to go back.
• Even in the 5 years I've been going, I've noticed a decline in quality of food, souvenirs, etc. while at the same time the prices have gone up, which is disappointing.
• A single day at Hollywood Studios in January is now $184. This pricing just feels completely detached from reality.

It's not a breaking point so much as an, "ehhh, I'll think about it" point, and I'm already there.

$184 for Hollywood Studios! That's crazy! If I paid that much, then I would want Disney to guarantee that all 5 rides were operating and available. For that price, it's too risky for me to go for the day to ride the new attractions and then have the rides break down. If Disney refunded your money or gave you another ticket when rides broke down, that would be different.

I used to work there when it was MGM Studios. At that time, rides did not go down much at all (except sometimes on the ToT) and we were good about giving people comps. Since rides breaking down is the norm now, Disney can't afford to do that. I do think it's the lack of customer service and maintenance that has stopped me from going back, more than the price increases.
