DISNEY PARKS MERCHANDISE @ Disney Store

Just got an email from the Disney Store online that they now are offering merchandise from the Disney Parks!!!!!!

I saw that email this morning! So does this mean Disney officially owns the Disney Stores now and it's no longer owned by the Children's Place?

Not sure, but you'd think that the Disney Store would be tied into the parks...... I also found that a little strange. They don't have a ton of stuff yet available but it looks like they're going to keep adding selections. I actually was disappointed when the Children's Place took over.....it lost some of the magic.

we have a Disney Discount store here that sells the large mugs, i could let you know if we have one you are missing

i am super happy about Disney stores getting Park merchandise, *** i havent really gone into one since the changeover left the stores feeling like really accurate fakes (in my head lol)

Thanks for looking, MissDisney04! I looked at the website and they don't have them (yet). I still need to get Stitch, Grumpy, and I think the last one is either Goofy or Eyore. I've never seen coffee cups so big - trust me, I use them!!

I was soo excited until i went to the site and they did not have the lights you buy at night for parades... so sad i just knew I was going to be able to get a Tinkerbell one for my neice she is about to be 1 but would love it.. maybe they will add more stuff soon.

I am fairly sure the changeover is done, b/c Disney Store employees are called cast members again and get CM discounts on DVC (can you imagine how fun that would be?).

I was just glad to see so many things with world vs land specifically spelled out, and the proper castle on things! I'd grown very tired of "Disney Parks" merchandise with a sort of morphy duo-castle on everything.

Ohhhhh they have the Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty Castle playsets....I have wanted to get one of those for DD for so long. $75 dollars though.....

I was a little disappointed with the apparel page..1 t-shirt.
I almost bought it, but we're going in 30 days so I'll get something then.
But that is sooo nice to have that option!

I believe the poster above you was referring to the discount character warehouse stores that they have. I noticed that she lives in Las Vegas and they have a permanent one there. Their merchandise is different than what you would find on the Disney Store's website. It's possible that the warehouse store might have what you're looking for.....worth a try anyway.

So, do they have a lot of park merchandise in the Disney Stores (not the online store) now? I know you live farther South than me, but I was planning on going to the Alderwood store next week and wondered what to expect.

Alas, I don't know about the actual stores...that's a long way for us to go unless we have other things to do up there (like visit the Rick Steves store/office when we need new luggage, LOL). I was just glad to see the proper park stuff online.

(bumbershoot) Yes, that would be a very long way for you. I'd have to have a REALLY good reason to go that far.....LOL I guess I was thinking there was a Disney Store down your way, but now that I think of it, I realize there are very few in WA. I wasn't sure if you were referring to the merchandise in the stores or online. I agree that it is very cool to see the new Disney merchandise online now. I like the fact that we can buy things ahead of time for our trip or at any time if we're not going to Disneyland.

You know, the other day, I pulled out something that we have from DLR and mentioned to my DS that it was too bad that it had both WDW and DLR on it. It will be so nice to be able to get "park specific" things online. I'm totally with you there.

Yes....it really is a small world! And Arlington is so small, that it's possible that I may know or have met your friend....you never know. Have you been to the Alderwood store lately? During my last 2 trips, there was absolutely nothing that I was interested in.....unbelievable and so sad.....lol. But at least I saved lots of $$$$.

Yes I saw the email this morning! HOw exciting!!! I saw the Cinderella castle and want to purchase it for DD2 for downtime in the hotel room. She is crazy about Cindy. I remember seeing this in the park stores last year but am wondering if anyone knows if it costs $75.00 in the parks also? I want to get hear a suprise, but may just buy it at the park.

I was considering getting an ear hat for my youngest son, but the embroidery is nowhere near as nice as what you get in the park.

I do have my eye on the playsets though.
