Disney Parking Security

How secure is the Disney parking lot? We are at my brother in law's house tonight and heading to Disney tomorrow morning. We are staying in a hotel tomorrow and Wednesday nights. My husband wants to leave all of our belongings at his brother's house and come back later in the day, load up the car and check into the hotel later in the day. He is afraid of someone breaking into our car while we are in the park. I think he's being a little ridiculous. Has anyone had their car broken into at the Disneyland lot while they are in the park?

I don't think I would leave all of my stuff in the car, unless it all fits into the garage...BUT I would leave it with the bellhop at the hotel you are staying at!

We are staying at BWPPI. I don't think they have a bellhop...I think we will have to pay for parking at DL and then move our car when we check in after 4, right?

Most of the hotels in the area allow you to park there on the day of your check-in, even if it's prior to check-in time. In the past I have just left my car at the hotel (with their approval of course) starting at 8:00 AM, walked to the park, and then returned later when it was time to check-in. They might also allow you to leave your bags at the front desk.

I bet they have a locked room where they'll keep bags. HoJo does, and Carousel does as well. It does mean an extra tip, but that's cheaper than getting to replace everything you own, IF something happens.

We stayed at the BWPPI in August. We checked in before 4. They stored our stuff for us and let us park in their lot while we went to the park. VERY convenient!

BWPPI does have bell service. We left our car parked there the day we checked out and they offered to hold our bags as well. You should be just fine checking in early, parking and leaving your stuff with bell services. You can also just leave your stuff in your vehicle in the lot, I've parked there plenty of times and never had any issues leaving stuff in the van. We had APs so we always went the day we left for a few hours, we would have all our bags in the back and no one ever tried to break in.
