We read so many threads about Disney park blunders or things we wish were different. How about the hundreds of major achievements we've seen over the years. How about all the wonderful, fun things Disney has added. How about we focus on some of those.

For me, it is how every time I go, the excitement for coming back gets bigger and bigger and the anticipation I feel at going is huge. Every day when I think about leaving for Disney (which is in 60 days by the way), I get a big smile on my face. I can't think of anywhere else in the world that makes me smile whenever I think about going or think about the memories I've made over the years.

I'm sure if Walt Disney were still alive, he'd be so proud that he started a place that so many people have come to love and enjoy.

I completely agree. Disneyworld creates something that no other park in the world is able to create. When I'm in Disneyworld I am clueless that there is a city around me. Disney actually creates a separate world. For all I know, I could be on some island in the middle of the ocean, far from any city or town. No other theme park that I have been to comes anywhere near giving me this type of escape from reality.

People always ask me why I go back so much. They make fun of me at work. They tell me that there are better places that have better rides and so forth, but I don't care. If they don't really allow me to escape from day to day life then I don't want to go.

:thumbsup2 People make fun of me all the time as well... why do you go to WDW all the time? Don't you get sick of it? You can get on better rides without going all the way to Florida.... For me WDW hasn't ever been about the rides or attractions. It's always just been about being there.

The people there, the ambiance they create, and just that feeling you get knowing that you have no other care in the world... atleast for that little time you are there.

I mean where else is a grown man going to run up to another grown man in a mouse costume.... hug and kiss them... then have their picture taken to remember that they did it? :lmao:

Only in WDW... :thumbsup2

I love that my husband - my tough and practical husband! - can't get enough of Disney. He loves being there with the whole family and gets so excited for our trip every year. He has always said he loves the escape from reality.

I love that I get to be with my husband and kids for an entire week, having a great time. No school, no work, no ice skating-karate-Irish dance-library story time....just no worries!

I am SURE this is exactly the way Walt wanted me and my husband to feel. I always feel sorry for folks who don't *get* Disney.

YA, but people would rather ***** about how things are bad, rather than rejoice when things are great.
