Does anyone know if they still have visitors walk in the parade and if so how can you be picked?

Sorry, but the Parade of the Stars has ended as of the first of the year. There are no 'official' parades until May 5 when the 50th celebration kicks off. They do have something called Mickey's Shining Star Cavalcade which goes the entire parade route. Its just a few cars with the princesses and Mickey and Minnie, and other characters walk the route.

My son and I were lucky enough to be in the parade this past October. He always wanted to be in the parade, but I could never sit around waiting for a parade to start. However we were walking through the router and saw the CMs driving the double decker bus along the parade route. They make about 4 or 5 stops and just grab some folks. We walked right up and asked if we could be in the parade and they said yes. I guess they just look for people who seem willing.

Dd and I did the same thing in Aug 03, just walked up to the bus and asked what they were doing. They asked us if we wanted to be in the Parade! We had the best time. Do you think they will have something similar in the new parade for the 50th anniversary? We will be there again in Aug 05!
