Guess What!

I have high tech pages (created using boardmaker with SD pro) for a Disney Trip!!!!!!!!!

They contain park maps, rides, characters, interactions for getting autographs... there was so much there that I didn't look at it all. Right now there are approximately 6 buttons per page with navigation, pretty simple but can be made more complex easily.

So, anyone need it or want it? File is huge of course so I'm not sure the best way to get it to you... might require me putting it on a disk and mailing it to you to transfer. I'd be willing to do that of course.

If you were looking for a light/low tech system and had some time before your trip, I wouldnt mind putting it together either. It will take me some time to transfer the buttons to a program (or make a pdf) so that you can print them out and organize them.

PM me if you need more info or I can help- :cool1:

Update:
See Post 13- PM me for the word document, boardmaker files, or ride pictures

Hi All!

I am new here. I am working with children with various, multiple learning challenges. I am in need of communication boards and social stories pertaining to visiits to the various theme parks/attractions in Florida.

If anyone has any to share or sources for same to get me started I'd REALLY appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks!

Hi All!

I received a private message to my post but since I am new here today I can't reply to it yet.

If anyone can help me with Social Stories or Communication Boards please email me at:

hchcaufield@cs.com

I do have Boardmaker Software with Speaking Dynamically Pro.

Thanks!

We won't be bringing my son's communicator (DV4) with us on our upcoming trip to DLR - he's not proficient enough with it yet - but I'd love some picture symbols to bring with us... is this possible? I know he'd love to be able to tell us what character he wants to see or ride he wants to go on! He's 4, this will be his first trip :). PM me or post here if you can help :goodvibes .

Talk to his speech therapist about printing out a paper copy of his DV4 pages. You can use that as a basis for communication and add some Disney specific pages just for WDW.

Sue, good idea but her son uses eye gaze with light tech ;)

I sent her a PM and I think she has a plan :goodvibes

Sorry, didn't know that.

Would never expect you to- unless you have special powers that I'm not aware of :rotfl:

For everyone ELSE in the world with a DV4... print out the pages to make a book (put them in nonglossy page protectors or laminate them with contact paper)- also good for when the DV4 requires servicing :thumbsup2

Oooh, ooh, I want it if possible! I have been so busy that I havne't gotten MJ's done! If you need to mail it, that is fine! Will I be able to print it if I don't have the software, Iwas thinking of using it kinda like PECS

Ok, I took the time to copy all 59 pages of "buttons" into a word document. It took me a few minutes  but it's worth it because so many of you asked for them...

My only appology is that they are not all the same size (you will see when you open it) because they weren't always the same size on the mercury.

Apparently they were there for Star Wars Weekend- TONS of Star Wars pictures :rotfl:

stuff for practically every ride in every park (noticed they are missing a few of the higher impact rides, but they can easily be added by me or you)

PM me with your email address, it will only take me a hot second to get it to you. I would invest in a cheap paper cutter if you are going to be cutting out all these squares to put in a book :rotfl2:

I'm sorry I have not been as helpful as I thought I would be with your project. I did look at what you emailed me and it looks very nice.

Don't worry, you are wonderfully helpful in general. :thumbsup2 I have some time in the next few weeks to create a sticky if you wish. PM me if you have time ;)

I just stumbled across this thread (I managed to miss it the first time around)! Just sent you a PM. Thanks!!!!!!!

This thread was brought up on the Theme Parks board, so I am bumping it for people who are looking for the information.
I do have the (in progress) doc files that Forevryoung emailed to me to look at. I also have her picture files that she emailed me before she finished the doc file. I am emailing her to see if she minds if I share them with people.

My son Hayden has the MT4 and I would so love these pictures for his device, please let me know how to get them.
Hugs

I recceived a reply from Forevryoung and she said she did not mind if I shared the files that she sent to me.
She is still working on the communication boards and hopes to have something done soon.
My DD recently got a Vantage AAC device. I am planning to make some Disney pages for our next trip in October. Once I have programmed it, I'll take some pictures and share on this board.
If anyone has pages to share, let me know. What Forevryoung and I had talked about was a "sharing" thread (stuck to the top of the board or easily accessed) that would have the communication boards she was coming up with (possibly as pdf files that could be downloaded and printed out for use). There would also be examples that people had made up that might help someone with ideas to make their own.
