Disney Over Labor Day

Am I crazy for considering a 7-day trip over Labor Day? Are the crowds comparable to the intense summer season?

I have gone in March during Spring Break and dealt with high, high crowds. I would say that labor day when we went in 2012 was AMAZING. We arrived the day before labor day and stayed that whole week. We didn't use fast passes most days, and the days we did only grabbed a couple to ride our favorites multiple times. We were in Hollywood Studios that week and had a CM tell us that it was some of the slowest crowd levels in September he had seen. Even on labor day, which I believe we did AK and HS, the crowds were very managable. TSM obviously got to high wait times, but other than that it was great! It is a very hot week. In the 90s the whole week with humidity, but dealing with New England summers I was used to it. We are going again this September for the same week and cannot wait!

Welcome. Now I do want to mention even though it was slow, MAKE DINING RESERVATIONS! If you plan on eating at TS locations, typically free dining has been offered. I made my reservations right at the 180 day mark, and got almost all of what I wanted. The one I couldnt get I kept checking back and was able to get it.

We went for Labor Day and the crowds that week were low!! We've been for spring break, Easter, Memorial week and Star Wars weekends. Those trips were much, much more crowded than the Labor Day trip!!!

I also went in 2012 and I loved it so much I'm going again for Labor Day this year. Everything was practically walk on- with the exception of a few rides (Kali River Rapids, TSMM....) It was hot, but not unbearable.

My DD and I went three years in a row during late August , early September time frame. The one year we were there over Labor Day was awesome! Very low crowds, one day we rode Space Mountain 6 times, with a 5 minute stand by each time. We also rode Goofys barnstormer several times in a row without having to get off the ride. It is a great time of year to go! I would still make dining reservations, though. Have fun!!

We have been over Labor Day, before kids started school. That is an awesome time to go! Crowds are low, temps still warm, and our resort was not crowded at all either. You will love it.

Agree! We went labor day 2 years ago and all the rides were very short waits. Weather was perfect!

When we went last September, we loved it! (maybe minus the heat)
We were able to do pretty much everything we wanted to with minimal wait if you plan a bit
