Disney Outlets in Orlando worth it?

This is the one we visited in December. Found some cute stuff. My daugther bought a cute dress which we saw later in the week on the Magic for much more money.

Yeah, I got a ton of Cruise stuff since we are taking a cruise in December and thought it would be good to get some stuff cheaper now.

I forgot what the name of this place is called but they sell stuff from WDW props or resort furniture. Does anyone this place that i'm talking about? They had a website but forgot to save it :(

We go every time just went in April. We rent a car...I've bought large Alice in Wonderland pillow cases. Shower curtains from Beach Club Villas in nice condition, lace curtains, and other assorted items. It's a warehouse not a store. You're better off bringing cash. They're off of Rte 27 near Davenport. Lots of furniture...unfortunately we fly so we skip on buying any.

After paying Disney ticket prices, all of my time is spent at the parks.

What I did was shop E-Bay. I found adorable women's tops and then I got to wear them while I was on our trip.

While at Disney we stopped in a few shops and picked up a couple magnets, post cards, and that was about it.

For me pictures are thing that I bring back home. I really don't want a t-shirt....

We always go to both outlets and have found some really nice bargains. We won't buy anything at the parks until we check out what the outlets have. There is another outlet across from Super Wal-Mart, but only DH went in because we were all tired. He said he just had t-shirts in it. that was last August so things might have changed. :cool2:

Thanks for posting this. :thumbsup2

Also, does anyone know if they have the 10 dollars or less store at DTD still?

I LOVED that store when our last trip was a few years ago. Back then they used to have the 10 dollar (I think) grab bag which had alot of little trinkets inside . They were actually pretty good deals because in the 4 bags we got, the items inside would've been about 25+ bucks regular price.

Absolutely worth it. We hit the parks for a few days, scope out the things we like and then head to the Outlet to see what they have. Usually we find at least a few really good bargains on stuff from the parks and then when we actually go back to the parks, we feel less of a need to spend full price. Or we narrow it down to what we're actually WILLING to spend full price on.

I had no idea there were outlet stores. Can anyone tell me where to find them? tia

How do I get the html off my post? Sending you a PM

I got the addresses (and downloaded the GPS information) from mousesavers.com, so I just push the button and go! My vacation wouldn't be complete without a trip to the Outlet we go to! In fact the last time I flew and didn't have a car I considered calling Mears to get a ride to and from the mall we usually go to! I needed my Disney outlet store fix!!

Last time I was there I found the sweatshirt that I had paid $65 for the year before for around $20 :headache: and they also had my 2nd choice sweatshirt from that trip for the same-- so of course I bought it. DD got a PotC t-shirt that she has practically worn out for $5. We always find some jewelry and I got a Christmas ornament that I already have but it was so cheap DH said to get it in case mine breaks. I have found some neat stuff too-- my favorite is a 5x7 framed picture of the Fab 5 watching the fireworks and at the bottom are 4 silver coins, one for each park. Hard to describe but very very cool, and I think I paid $5 for it.

I agree with others that you just have to go in willing to dig through and see what catches you eye. But the prices are very worth it. So many outlet stores these days are really not a bargain, pretty much the same prices for out of season items, but the Disney ones are very worth it IMHO.

Can anyone post the actual store name and street address?

The phone number would be great too!

Thanks in advance

The stuff at the Pr1me outlets near WDW is amazing. The Disney outlet there sells tons of awesome stuff, and we were able to get pins for .49... which DH went crazy over!

I've always wondered about that place, I'm going to try stopping by there next month when I go down for a conference.
I will also be flying, my luck I will fall in love with something and not be able to get it home! :rotfl:

I saw furniture I liked that I've walked away from. If I could I would have a Disney room in my house. In April, I saw this really nice wicker chair and could have negotiated the price. There were also loads of luggage stands from the Swolphin a year ago..now all gone.

It's a kind of an unusual place when you get there it looks like 'no man's land' the only thing indicating you're in the right place is the tractor trailer with their logo at the entrance.

It's still there. :)

I have to say that everytime I have been to the outlets, I have been amazed. I did not start going to the outlets until about five years ago. That is when I found Pal Mickey in there for $10.00. Yes, I snatched him up! I have found T-shirts, jewelry, plush animals, etc. These are all Park items. I know at the time I got my Pal Mickey, it was selling for $50.00 at the park, from what the cast members told me at the store, the reason the Pal Mickey was marked down so much is that the boxes they recieved were damages a little. Disney tries not to put out damaged boxes in the parks.
