Disney Outlet Store, Lancaster, PA

Great. Is it a true outlet or just a Disney store with regular Disney store prices? For instance, at Rockvale Outlets, the Children's Place store is just a store IMO. The prices are the same at the mall.

Went to the Disney store at Rockvale on Friday. We were there about 2 hrs after it opened and got free 'ears'. To me, it seems to be the same as the one in Rehoboth beach, DE. They have most of the same stuff as TDS, but their prices are usually cheaper. They also have old TDS stuff and extras. Not really sure where the extras come from and that element can be VERY hit or miss. DSis and I were thrilled because we got to catch up on some of this year's ornaments that were already gone from the reg store and from DisneyShopping.com. Plus all Christmas was BOGOF (I know, TDS had this too), but Lancaster had a TON more in selection. Plus clothes are tax free. I also had a 15% off coupon. :cool1:
I spent a little over $100 and DSis spent almost $200 but we left with a ton of stuff. a got a tree skirt (Dsis got one also, so we did them BOGOF), 4 stockings, 10 orns, 1 adult tee, 5 sets of Snow White & the 7 dwarf pins sets for trading ($14.50- 15% for 8 pins  ) 2 rolls of paper + 2 packs of matching tags, and one or two other little things.
I think it will be one of those places some will do well and others may not based on when you go and what you are looking for.
I did notice the canvas prints I liked were $29.50 at TDS & they were already marked down to $19.99 there. :confused3
I decided to wait though. I love to shop there but this will probably entice me to go a little more often. ;)

Well I got there at 8:58pm & it closed at 9pm LOL... so I didnt really get to shop around. Next time....

Excellent news ! We're going to hit it up as part of a post-Christmas trip to the relatives. Can't wait.

The Disney Outlet in Hershey opened this past weekend too!

What are they like??? are they like the outlets in Orlando??? do they have Disney world stuff????? i need to know!! lol

No Disney World stuff....Disney Store stuff. It was awsome. I got buzz lightyear costumes for $3.79. The store is large and has lots of things, but the price is not clearly marked...probably because it has been so packed. I thought I would pay regular price for a POC rolling suitcase, but it came down to $12.00. I got those advent Mickey ornament set...little drawers with different Mickey head ornaments for $7.50 minus 15%. They take coupons. Many things were on sale and then buy one get one free. I got bags and bags of things. Just love it.

Hi,
I finally got to Lancaster this past Friday. Made my way to the disney store at the outlets and was not thrilled. Seemed like the normal mall store, BUT if you filled out an application for CC they gave you a $10 gift card!

Yes Pam I agree with you. I was there 2 weeks ago, and boy I was disappointed !! I asked the lady if they were a "true" outlet store, and she said no, they have the same merchandise as the stores, same prices, they just don' carry media.

We went two weeks ago on a Sunday. I was TOTALLY UNDERWHELMED!

It literally is just a regular Disney Store in an outlet mall.

I saw nothing there any less expensive than my local store. In fact they were selling all the swimsuits at full retail price the same weekend that disneyshopping.com had them all for 20 or 25% off.

In front of the cash register they had a bunch of bins with what I thought was deeply discounted stuff... nope. It was all retail price, even the toy cell phones that I picked up at my local TDS on sale last year for $1/ea! They were selling the phones for $5!!

I would definitely NOT go out of my way to shop there at all!

I was at both the Lancaster and Hershey outlets this past weekend and agree with the poster above. No great deals, and I would not make a special trip to go there. I only purchased a Disney gift card to use on my upcoming trip to WDW in September. However, they are both beautiful stores. :sad2:

I think it must be hit or miss w/the Disney Store in Hershey and Lancaster. I got GREAT deal in January, beautiful nightgowns for $5, PJ pals, $4, Princess Barbies for $10, down from $40, etc.

They had similar sales at our regular stores in January. Heck in February I even got the character sets for $5 each at our local TDS!
