In the parks there used to be disney artists in a couple of locations who would draw a Disney character for you; I remember one in Adventureland, and one by the animation building in MGM. They had a catalog of sorts of popular characters, you'd pick one, and they'd put it on the light table and draw it. It had a Disney seal, the artist signed it, and it was actually pretty expensive if I remember right. anywhoo, has anyone seen this since the animation studio shut down?

I do remember this, but I haven't seen it recently. I was hoping to get one on our last trip. (I wasn't looking real hard though)

This is still done in the Art of Disney store in DTD (near Earl of Sandwich). I think you have an option on black-and-white or color, and can even get two characters. I forget the dollar amount--I was just browsing--but no, it was not cheap.
