Stay home, finish school, save money for a Disney Trip some other time. School is way more important than some vacation! :teacher:

Gah, I would be sooo tempted to pick Disney. The right thing to pick though is school.

I would take the trip. Try to get any work you can get done before, and work your little tush off when you get back.
I've missed much more than week around May and it was never hard to catch up, even when we had a lot of projects. (Last year I missed about 3 weeks of school)

If you talk to your teachers before hand, you could get you're homework to do on the pane, or even the week before so if you have questions they can help. A week isn't so bad as long as you get the work before hand. I guess it also depends on if your in highschool or jr. high and what your workload is and how you can manage it.

Go to Disney, it shouldn't be that hard to make up your work. But it also depends on what grade you are in, and what your grades are like. But I would most defiantly take the trip.

Once you get to high school, it's not that easy to make up work. So if you are in HS, stay at school. You don't want to risk falling behind.

At this point, I'd NEVER pick Disney over school since I'm a SENIOR and want to graduate in 59 days. :)

ahh i would pick disney over school ANYDAY! but then again i would pick jail over school.

thats just me though.
and your probably one of those "i have to get good grades" kids.:confused3 .as to where im a "SWEEET i got a d....ok now lets go to the party" people.

:goodvibes

well if it were me I would most deffinately pick Disney, but that is because I am doing really well in all of my classes and could easily pick them back up. But if you feel like you would really fall behind and it would hurt you alot in the long run, then I say go to school and make sure your parents take LOTS of pictures so it was like you were really there.

I actually found High School a lot easier.

I would take the trip. Get homework before, do lots of work after. But if you're going to be stressed in Disney, then maybe stay home? You want to enjoy your trip!

I would stay home. Walt Disney World will always be there. :)

I agree with Jenny. I found HS had a LOT less work.
As regards to the OP's question--I would without a doubt, no questions asked, pick Disney. Did you know that in May, Epcot hosts the International Flower and Garden Festival. Those topiaries are truly amazing, and are worth a trip in themselves!! Also, crowds are tiny in May because there aren't any school breaks besides a 3 day weekend for Memorial Day. You can always make up school, and if you are afraid of angry teachers, your family can always lie and say 'family reunion.' That's what we do--there are fewer questions asked and it doesn't sound like you are leaving for a vacation. School will still be there when you get back. Trust me--I've missed school many times to go on vacations, Disney included. ther was one year where we had annual passes-we ditched school in early December and in May doing Thursday-Tuesday trips, and it all worked out.

I would definetly pick disney....like everyone else is saying just see if you can get work before you leave .. and just work hard when you get back

Disney... but then again, I would say to my parents that it would mean a lot to me if they rescheduled so that I wouldn't have to miss school. But also my parents would never go to Disney without me.

Disney. . .when you live as far from WDW as I do you learn to not take any trip for granted. SEIZE this opportunity. School can be made up. But DIsney is a treasure. . .If any of my teachers read that I would be dead right now. lol but seriously go on the trip.

Maybe freshman/sophmore year...

Besides, she already said she was falling behind in Spanish, and languages are usually needed to get enough credits to graduate. Why risk it?

She is a freshmen. And have you ever even been to WDW? It could be a once in a lifetime thing.
