Disney Oops that worked in my favor...

I bought 5-day park hoppers during the Ebates/Orbitz deal last year and planned to upgrade them on our trip. I had them added to our MDE accounts and linked to our MB's well before we arrived. We used them to enter Epcot on October 19. Luckily, I procrastinated and did not do the upgrade until the 21st. I went to the ticket booth at Epcot, gave them our MB's, showed our DVC member card and DH's ID and paid with 11 gift cards. It cost about $520 to upgrade all four tickets.

I have been trying to figure out a way to go back to WDW next October for my birthday on the 16th. Since airfare costs the same no matter how long I stay, I try not to travel for less than 5 days. I wanted to go October 16-21, but realized that my park ticket would expire on the 19th, leaving me a day short. Imagine my surprise today when I logged on to MDE and saw our AP's linked to our bands...with an expiration date of October 21! They "activated" the passes on the date I upgraded them and did not back date them to the first use of the MYW ticket. Now I can maximize my time in the parks if I have the privilege of returning on my own.

Just curious, did you go to GR to pick up the hard tickets at all? Or just used the magic code to link them and then not bother? When we were there in March I picked up ours at GR, but haven't used the tickets yet. Glad it worked out for you to get the extra two days!

Same thing when we upgraded ten day passes to AP, they used the date of the upgrade and not the nine days earlier date! Bonus!!!!
