That's right folks...I'm 18 years old and I went to Disney on ice. You know who took me? A guy I'm dating who is older than me. Mostly because he knew it would make me happy, but he ended up enjoying it too! Now I expected the show to be pretty cool but a little cheesy. It was NOT. It was incredible. The combinations of music, the costumes, and the spirit of Disney held true. The set was incredible, they even put small fireworks in a little arena!
Needless to say, I acted like a pure child there. I had a sword fight with the guy who went with me, AFTER I tried to pull a sword out of the display (they were attached, so it looked very sword in the stone-ish hahaha!) and the girl behind the display gave me hers to play with! I ate ice cream for dinner and nearly skipped around the place. I took silly pictures, wore my sparkly Disney tank top and Mickey visor.
The best part was DEFINITELY the part where they had people dressed up in costumes of the same patterns and colors from It's a Small World and sang and skated and they had ENORMOUS set pieces modeled after the countries in the rides. They even had some of the dolls there!!!
Here are a couple of pics!
THE Disney Smile Made a Few Appearances...Ok ok, I couldn't wipe it off my face!
Ignore Me, Note the Amazing Set! (There was more behind the curtain too)
It's Blurry, But All The Disney Princes and Princesses Made an Appearance TOGETHER on the Ice...Needless to Say I Nearly Cried
When the It's a Small World Clock First Appeared in the Background I Knew EXACTLY What Was Going to Happen
Incredibly Beautiful, No?
ALL The Characters Came Out On the Ice for a Final Skate
I have about 80, though many are blurry as it is hard to catch characters skating in action!
We were one of the only couples there without kids!!! We also sat right next to an old couple, a man and a woman, without any children, and SHE had on Minnie ears with ribbons and a wand. It showed me, truly, that once you love it, TRULY love it, you never outgrow the magic of Disney.
