disney on ice question

I am not sure what constitutes VIP but we went today and WOW we had a great time. We had decent seats. About 10 rows up, at 20.00 a ticket plus the other little convenience charges. LOVED IT! If you are front row then that would be great but some of those tickets were on the floor with others in front of them, and I wouldn't have liked those seats. Just because people would be in front of my child without it being stadium style. I think the floor seats (at least here) were folding chairs, so I doubt as comfortable as the stadium seats. HAVE FUN!

There is a presale going on and the vip tickets run 48 and the rest are 15 and 21? Front row is 68. Is vip maybe on the floor?

In Des Moines, they are offering $10 tickets on opening night. We are going then and the seats are very good - in the lower section.

VIP is the floor seats. I think you get some interaction maybe snacks?. I saw them at a show a few years ago. Did you all see tables with the chairs?

We saw the Disney on Ice three weeks ago in the D.C.-Metro area. We had VIP seats. They are not front row, but the ten-or-so rows behind it.

There was no interaction with the skaters (they simply don't stray from their routines, as far as I can tell), although we were close enough to see their facial expressions and the detail on their costumes.

It's a fun night! Hope you enjoy it.

We had front row, on the ice. There was interaction {a genie played with DS's popcorn bag, etc.} Strangely enough, I think we were too close, as DS was a bit frightened by the noise and the large, scary characters moving so close to him {the shark, Beast}. We actually left at the 1/2 as I don't believe in making him miserable [unlike the mother reaming her child in the ladies room for "being a baby" :scared1: - the witch actually slapped the poor kid. Great family outing, eh?]

We had VIP seats and were in the first row behind the floor seats - so maybe the fourth row from the front. Excellent view. We loved it and felt it was worth the money ($35 in my area).

I just bought front row in Cleveland for $68 :scared1: DH wasn't thrilled, but I don't care. We never do stuff like this. It's the Sunday before Christmas and I told DD it was part of her present and she was fine with it.(after I reassured her she would still get presents from Santa) For those of you who have gone already, is it worth getting there early to see the princess dresses? Or is it insane?

Hi,

Does anyone know what the floor seats are like? We are looking at about 10 rows back? Are they all at the same level on the floor or do they inclince slightly?

Thanks so much all!!

At my local arena, the seats on the sides on the floor might be worth the extra money but there are several rows of seats in the center on the floor that are not very good at all. There is no incline so if you are not in the first row or two you will probably not be able to see plus you are at one end of the rink so a lot of the action is not even close. My $12 opening night seats were about 8 rows up on the side and were great! We have been to several shows and that is what we always do.

Enjoy!

I guess all the arenas are different but at ours (Hershey PA) I commented to dh that I would not have been happy with the floor seats. They were simple folding chairs that were cushioned on the bottom but not back. The ones on the side were nice but in front there were several rows on the floor and there is no incline so unless you are in the front row it wouldn't be good those are also further from the ice than the side ones. I did see the characters interact slightly with the people on the floor seats on the sides.

At a previous Disney on Ice show we went to (2 yrs ago)--after the show, the characters went around & hugged, took pictures, etc with the kids in the first row. For those that went recently, are you saying this is no longer the case? I want to take my girls in Detroit, MI in Mar & was considering the VIP/Front row section if they still had the interaction. If not, then cheap seats it is!
