Have any of you gone to this? Just wondering how it was? We're taking my DD6 on 4/30. Do the girls wear there princess dresses? Any info you can give me would be great. This is my DD's first Disney on Ice performance. I haven't been since I was a kid. Thanks!!

I took my kids to this a few years ago and they loved it! DD was 2 1/2 at the time and wore her Snow White dress and was so cute that she got her picture in the local paper! At intermission, we got up to go to the bathroom and she started to cry because she thought it was over and we were going home. She didn't want to leave!!!

She would like to go again (because her current career choice is to be an ice skater and a princess when she grows up) but the ones they have here in Nothern California have not been Princess ones. I think we had a jungle one?

Anyway, you'll love it!

We just went in Feb and it was wonderful. Our girls loved it. About 1/2 of the little girls were dressed as princesses and were so cute. (Made me homesick for Disney! :) )

Just remember that depending on how close you are to the ice it can be a little chilly (not freezing but bring a sweater) the first time we went to an ice show we had seats on the same level as the ice and my feet froze! Not a probelm for my daughter who's feet did not reach the floor!

We took our girls 3 &5 . They just wore Princess shirts and crowns. Some have on the dresses. I would say more didn't then did.

We went in January with dd1 and dd3. They both wore princess outfits and many other little girls did too. I wasn't sure about letting them wear them, but dd3 really wanted to. I am glad we did as they were very cute and she would have been upset if I said "no" and so many other children had them on. Also, we went to a nearby restaurant for dinner (right near the venue) and the place was full of princesses and their families. It was like a little character meal right in the middle of Columbus, Ohio! Wear them...it will be fun!

We went not too long ago when it was in Anaheim and dd5 and my nieces (11) just loved it! When we went, there were quite a few little girls with their princess dresses on. Some had some kind of pants on underneath or wore a jacket over their dresses. I could kick myself in the but for forgetting my dd's dress. :sad2:
We didn't have the best tickets, so we were a little far up. I also forgot our binoculars, but we servived! They sold binoculars there to; they were in the shape of Flotsom and Jetsom (sp?), eels from The Little Mermaid. We really enjoyed ourselves! I'm sure you'll enjoy it and I think your dd will love it, too.

We just went about a week ago. My girls 3 and 5 1/2 loved it. My oldest said "Mommy it is like we are at Disneyland."

A word of warning, they do have the villians (Evil queen, Stepmother, Sea Witch ect). My oldest is a gets spooked. She spent some of the with her face buried in my husband's shirt. She still loved it, but does get frightened at things like that. My 3 year old was just fine.

There were tons of kids in princesses dresses.

Have a great time!

We saw it in December. My dd5 and her friend 5 both wore Ariel costumes over regular clothes. Tons of girls were dressed up primarily in Cinderella costumes.

:thumbsup2 I went in March with the cutest 7 year old girl I know (not related, but might as well be my niece). It was so much fun and all the little girls were dressed in their Princess Costumes. I was with Belle. We all grealty enjoyed it. I would love to see it again if it were to come this way again!

This is our favorite Disney on Ice production we've seen thus far. We've enjoyed Nemo on Ice, Monsters Inc, and the Princesses. Best story, costuming, original story line, etc, of the three. Of the three, Princesses is the only one NOT based on a movie storyline, which makes the production more enjoyable for the surprise factor. The other two followed the movie storyline a bit too closely, IMHO.

Highly recommend it and yes, lots of girls in Princess attire. Have fun!

I took my nieces (5 and 8) to this last September when it was in town and they really enjoyed it. Even though the older one was a bit old for dressing up, I think she was a little disappointed that she didn't have a princess dress/costume to wear. My younger niece wore her Cinderella costume and got tons of attention and felt like a princess. Lots of little girls (and boys) were there in costume. The adults enjoyed the show as well.
