Hello dis friends,

I'm booked for 2016 at the Grand under a convention rate. A friend of mine has stayed onsite at WDW and Aulani and she gets offers regularly luring her back. My question is will I be sent offers as well and are they usually just for the park you've visited? If im staying under a convention rate will that matter?

I know it's a bit of a broad question but I'm curious. Thanks in advance!

I get direct-mail email and snail mail offers and pins all the time for Alunai (never been), DL, and WDW, but they really aren't any more special/different than those they offer to the rest of the general public. Sometimes they arrive after they've already started the promotion.

We have stayed on site for 6 different trips in the last 2 years. I have gotten one offer to "come back". The demand is high enough for onsite hotels they don't have to offer as many deals :(

Hi - I booked a stay in dec at DIsneyland hotel . But then the seasonal discount came out. I called and they were willing to use it. It seems it's random, the discounts. But by booking a room early, your original rate might be better than any discount . That's what happened with us.

I swear we get email offers every other month for on-site stay discounts at my husband's email address which I believe is what we gave years ago (my email never gets them). 20-25% off. We can't figure out the reasoning because my cousin often goes with us to GCH (oh, @mgd will be SO annoyed I'm mentioning this. poor thing. Ugh) and my cousin doesn't get them. I have deduced it's because we went through Costco travel a few times, because I can't think of another reason.

I've given my email at check in and always just gotten the generic 20% off after it's been released to the public. But my husband's email ALWAYS gets offers

I have never ever gotten an offer/PIN and I stay onsite ALL the time at WDW and have stayed at GCH at DLR. Boo.

Thanks for the information guys. She just gets a lot of disney mail and frankly, *I* want disney mail lol.

Another question: when staying onsite do they send any pre-arrival information or paper confirmation of your reservation? Thank again.

We stayed onsite the last 2 years, and even bought APs last year. We did not get an AP discount on our room last year, nor will we this year. We have not gotten any special offers. I think they just don't need to make offers to fill rooms, and they have a lot fewer rooms at DL to fill in the first place.

I stayed at a convention rate twice this yr and no future stay offers have come my way. Wish they would!

We've not stayed on site but purchased our first AP's this year. Now we're getting offers for special deals but they're so ridiculously specific that they're useless to us.

I swear we get email offers every other month for on-site stay discounts

We get them often also but have never booked through Costco's. I think they just see "sucker" on my face and want more of my money..... and it usually works as it takes very little encouragement to get us to go back :)

I started getting PINs for WDW after our first stay last May. I've had a few, I think they know we live clear across the country so not very likely to use them! They're pretty good offers but unfortunately, we aren't anticipating returning at this point. The PIN offers for DLR seem to be much fewer and farther between. I've stayed onsite every year (sometimes twice in one year) for the past 5 years and I think I've gotten a total of 3 PINS. And they're never for a time we're planning on going or are too short notice to get a trip together. Ah well.

Since my husband isn't a Disney fan, he stays home. While I try to go once or twice a year with the grandkids.
I make all the arrangements, in my name, for each trip. We stay on-site about 50% of the trips.

When the offers come in the mail they are ALWAYS addressed to my husband. He hasn't been to DLR since 2005. Go figure....

In October I purchased an AP, maybe that will make a difference in the offers that are sent to the house.

Geemo

I have an AP and have stayed at all three onsite hotels and have never gotten any type of offer other than the usual AP stuff they offer all AP's :(

Just got my 20% off email offer on Wednesday (21st), my husband told me today he got his on the 14th...
I'm sticking with the "Booked through Costco" theory because I just checked our upcoming trip at GCH and my email is the one on file. So weird :headache:

I have only gotten PINs for Aug/Sept dates (which sucks because I totally would be swayed but not in those months!)
