Disney Nostalgia

I'm not going to Disney for awhile yet, but my nostalgia already kicked in.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to keep me cool before I start packing my bags?

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting their time to go back 'home?'

Any Disney World, or Disney Land, related discussion is more than welcome.

I go through my periods.
I'll go a long time not being "homesick" at all, and then one day I just cannot wait.

I usually just read some of the Unoffical Guide, go onto All Ears, check out the random forums on here, and count down the days :]

It could be next year, the year after or the year after.
Or worse, until I'm out on my own with enough money =O

And I'm not faring well. The local Disney Store is closing down, so I can't even go there to buy stuff, or get myself a lovely lollypop.

I watched the '08 Vacation Planning DVD earlier.

That really stinks about your Disney Store closing, Hilary. I *hope* mine's still open if I ever decide to go back to the mall...

I'll get some books together that I can read later.

I've been missing Disney World really really hard today and this past week. It's because on tuesday, I was outside chillin' and I had my iPod on shuffle, and the Spash Mountain Medly came on. I listened to the whole thing.....9 times. I wanted to cry, it made me feel like I was on the ride. I listened to that song for the rest of the week, and I realized just how much I missed Disney. I miss it really bad.

We normally go every summer-ish. But now with the cruise coming up in December, we spent all our vacation money. It's not even a Disney cruise. So, we aren't going this summer, dissappointingly.

Do me a favor, take tons of pictures for me, and don't forget a trip report :]

I think I might have a disney movie marathon tonight after my homework. Watching my disney trips always helps my cravings, actually, it might make it worse. But, it still helps :]

I listen to all the parade and fireworks music. Then I look at the Disney Photo Of The Day thread. And I often put in the planning DVD, or watch the Top 7 Must Sees on youtube or google video. That's when it gets really bad.

i was going to say they must be having a hard time making money bc mine is closing down too until i realized it was probably the same one

anyways try listening to wishes or fantasmic full time through with your eyes closed

Ah, I listened to SM Medley today too! That might've helped my nostalgia come back.

That stinks about the cruise, but hopefully you'll have a good time anyway.

I've considered starting a pre-trippie, but I have no idea what to put in them. [Jenny if you read this ... PM me. XD ]

Of course I'll take pictures - one of the main reasons I want to go back is to delve into my mediocre photography skills. My dad handed me the camera last trip, and this time I won't let it out of sight. =D

Julie - I love the Top 7 Must Sees! I watch it at least twice a day when I'm in the hotel room .... <3

After our june 2007 trip to disneyland, we planned to go again june 2008. but one day i was watching monsters inc in early october, and suddenly got this disney craving and i convinced my parents to book a trip for mid november for a week, until we can go again for 2 weeks june 2008. btw, that trip was a blast, and now finally im only 19 days away from my three week california trip!! im always listenging to disney music

I go on Flickr, post photos, look at other people's photos, and such. Go on youtube! Look up your favorite attraction or something from the parks. Talk to other Disney nuts on forums like here or at WDWmagic.com or something. Spend some time on ***********, play as a ride operator at the Tower of Terror simulator game. Those things that I just mentioned help me keep my cool and my 'disney fix'.

I'm actually going for a day tommorrow! Can't wait!

When I'm Disney-sick I do many things:

• Watch Disney Movies
• Watch Various Videos on Youtube related to Disney whether it be rides, collaboration of peoples' times at Disney, or a video about a pairing in a movie
• Go on the TPAAS Board
• Listen to Disney music
• Create a Disney Sig
• And if worst comes to worse complain loudly about how much you miss Disney in the random thread

I haven't been since August 2007 and will not be going again until July 2009/2010 So only one or two years more..

I've been missing disney like crazy this week.
Some of my friends are there right now and I'm super jealous.

I'm going next summer but I'm already jumping up and down in excitment.
I've been listening to disney music.
Sometimes I'll watch the planning DVDs, disney movies.
I'll also cruise through the disney website and make up dream trips, and look at all the resturants and hotels.
Sometimes I'll look at rides on youtube.
Oh and complain to my mom that disney needs to hurry and get here.

I listen to Disney Music on Live365---the Mickey's Magic Channel is great because it had alot of full ride soundtracks.

I also watch ride videos on youtube aaaall the time

Read my past Trip Journals/Look @ our old scrapbooks

Read other peoples TRs!!!!!

And read the guide books/watch planning videos.

I'm getting sooooo antsy to go now!! i still have over 2 months to go!!
