I only eat the hot dogs with no nitrates and I doubt they are at DW.

If you thought you were doing the right thing by selecting chicken or turkey franks or uncured dogs with no added nitrates, think again. Our tests found they did not all deserve a health halo. While three of the four regular poultry dogs we rated had 30 to 80 fewer calories than the average of beef and mixed meat dogs, the other poultry frank had as many calories as beef. And most had plenty of fat and sodium. While the three uncured franks might boast of no added nitrates, our testing found that Applegate Farms, Coleman Natural, and Whole Ranch contained nitrates and nitrites at levels comparable to many of the cured models.
I you check the nutrition facts in the grocery store chicken dogs are almost always lower fat and lower salt. They are all we buy. I can see being upset if you are keeping kosher, but for the rest of us the chicken dogs will be great for our health.
ETA: non kosher beef hot dogs have the parts of the cow I NEVER want to eat included!

Please avoid phrases such as "for the rest of us" when you clearly do not speak for the rest of us. We maintain a fairly healthy diet in our house and when I go on vacation it's one of the few times I allow myself
to relax my self imposed dietary restrictions. When I go to WDW and ask for a hot dog I would like to have an actual freaking hotdog not a supposedly healthy facsimile of one.
Are they still kosher?
I agree ! I want a real beef hot dog.....
Its amazing how this cost cutting can transform into "its healthy for you" !
I'm sure it was done to save money ..............not a concern for whats healthy.
I guess I may be the only one happy about this because the beef ones gross me out. They just seem so greasy! I know this strange but I prefer the ones with chicken and turkey.
